When you were up against the round turret digging the footings and the new little excavator was able to turn freely without hitting the walls, gave one of the best examples of why someone would have one. Being able to get into tight spots and not have to shovel all that stuff out, is a great advantage.

Robert You Rule! My 10 year old son has worked with me when he can for the last couple of years and one of my major battles is how comfortable and trusting he has become growing up around me and equipment. I have repeatedly explained that when you are running equipment you are paying attention to multiple things and having a person transiting your work area is really dangerous if it isn't done right. I've lamented several times that he need to get the operator's attention and wait for acknowledgement before he moves in front of the machine (never behind) and if he is standing somewhere that the operator is aware of, not to randomly move somewhere else without making sure the operator can see. No one like surprises when running iron. How you moved through Chris's workspace 14:01 and 15:55 was perfect both times and I rewound the video and made my son watch it 4 or 5 times while we talked about what was happening and why. Then I showed him the dude at 16:30 that doesn't stop to be acknowledged and walks behind the 953. Good thing Chris is an attentive operator, I've seen lots and lots of guys that don't look behind then BEFORE they back up, most seem to look behind them after or as they are already moving in reverse. Thanks dude! Chris: I sure hope Bealy has a right angle hammer drill, a 16" trench isnt very wide for a standard hammer drill with a drill bit in it.

Agree with Chris. Geothermal is most efficient when you use the temperature stability of the ground. And the ease of installation and future servicing is worth staying away from the lake.
@koomencontractingАй бұрын
It’s one of those things that you may as well take full advantage of while you have the chance to install it before the final landscaping goes in - otherwise you might be kicking yourself down the road when you see the utility bill 😮😢

I’m glad to see you using the hand controls for the tracks on the micro mini. I have a Kubota KX033 and I try to use the foot controls but they’re just not comfortable. I just like my feet flat on the floor. Maybe because I have hilly terrain and I’m bracing myself with my feet and pushing on the pedals is difficult when trying to stay in the seat!

I wasn't going to say anything, but since you brought it up! Geothermal in the ground uses the 60 ish. degree? ground temperature to start heating or cooling from vs 100 degrees or 20 below zero outside air. I can't swear to it, but that pond has to get pretty close to freezing at times. I can picture Bealy out there in a John boat dragging a raft filled with plastic line getting tangled up in it and drowning!

heat exchange systems for heating in ground are more efficient than in water since the temperature differences are greater for Cooling like AC in water systems are more efficient + you can change coils way easier , dont need to dig and tear it all up...

Our geothermal comes from a 440 ft well, but discharges into our half acre pond. I think the water is more consistent and relatively cleaner coming from the well, rather than a pond.however, we do have a very highiron content, and use several filters to keep the iron at a minimum going into the furnace(really a gigantic heat pump).

As far as I know a geo-thermal system placed in a lake is always more efficient than either a system in a drilled well or laid under ground. Somehow the temperature exchange makes for better headroom for heating/cooling. Geo-thermal heating systems are widely used throughout Sweden and they stay functional and efficient even through the hardest winters. Most systems provide heating as well as warm water.

Nice cold start with Francine. Yep, cold when the dirt steams from the pile. Looks like no one is going to help the Supervisor laid back starved, hurt or drunk on the retaining wall. If you run out of backfill dirt, you might have to dig a new small pond. Good ol` "change orders" $$$$$$. Good point Chris, its Geothermal not Aquathermal. Risk of closed circuit fluid leaking into pond to kill fish.
