I wish AD would see real playing time with the WNT, but I don't think she will. She's been in WNT training since 2012, and got her first cap in 2019? She should have been called up for friendlies and gotten some time in the Algarve Cup. Now she's 28, with 1 cap, when she could have been 28 and competing for top spot, not landing third to a woman who could be her coach. Technically, a smart coach would call up Jane Campbell (who has caps at 22?) for the backup, because she's younger and has more time to get even more experience. Jill Ellis isn't a smart coach, but if she doesn't give AD real experience, I'm seeing her losing her WNT spot altogether.
