Great game! I've played it a bunch of times and it's one of my favorite solo games. Going through the motions of putting cards in order, sliding them to the past/present, using the candy,... It's incredibly relaxing while also providing a great puzzle. Will be keeping my eye out for the app!

Might be worth pointing out that you're not obliged to order the cards in numerical order when you put them in the past. For example, at 23:00 it might have been better to put the 18 & 19 before the 8, so that they would then be next to the 20 & 21. Great video though, Eric, and it made me buy the game straight away!

That's why a digital version makes a lot of sense. You can always have it on hand and play it without requiring a ton of table space, not to mention repeating the same deck to improve your skills. -WEM

Do they show the card animation when you win (a la the old Windows solitaire game)? I don't think people notice that bonus in the artwork initially. Congrats on your win! I need to get this one out again
@boardgamegeek4 жыл бұрын
Right now the app "flips" through an image of the cards in the deck, but the cards show only the powers, not the artwork at top, so you don't get the flipbook animation. -WEM
@TestyTesterson4 жыл бұрын
The full cards are in the iPad version so you can see the worker flip book animation when you win. I have easier-to-see cards for iPhone that don’t include the “Worker.” I have a plan to show the animation on iPhone, too, though. So coming soon...

The latest version includes the flip book animation when you win. Plus there's a kind of awesome and funny rap song when you win if you score high enough, too. :)

By my count you actually broke even on the candy cheating by forgetting to take as many as the extras you took.
@boardgamegeek4 жыл бұрын
Woo! I noticed only the cheats in my favor upon re-watching, so I called those out. The first extra candy early in the game made a big difference on that giant turn, so it's hard to know how well I would have done if I had tracked things better. -WEM

On a turn, place three cards into your "present" area. Spend candy if you want to activate any card powers. When you stop working on this group, send it to the "past", then take three new cards (except if you pushed cards into the "future" as now you need to finish working on them). Drink coffee when card 48 goes to the past, thus signalling the end of a round. Keep cycling through cards, putting the 1 aside when it comes up, then the 2, etc. and ideally you can put everything in order before the end of round 8. -WEM

This video was a roller coaster of emotions for me. I first saw the game box and theme. It was such a unique and boring theme (as in it is boring every day stuff and nothing exciting, fantastical or made up) which I like. I then see the first few turns and felt very put off by the game. Not understanding anything. And by the end I was sold. Putting this on the wishlist!

I don't have a stake in publisher 2F-Spiele, and I don't work for a distributor or retail store, so I don't care whether this game sells or not. I like many other Friese titles, especially Foppen/Fool, but Finished! stands out for me as a perfect game that does what it's trying to do really well. -WEM

I am with WEM here; I love many of FF's designs (like the original FrischFisch), but Finished! stands out to me as well. It is almost perfect and very paradigmatic Friedeman. I also admire how he would follow Friday up with a game that couldn't be more unlike Friday. I was able to beat Friday with respectable scores at the highest official difficulty level after a dozen or so plays. I have played Finished! 30+ times in physical form and I still don't seem to get better.
