Finishing Aquilegia Earlybird

I'm growing some in a pot right now, and there's about a dozen individuals grown from seed, they are still pretty small- but I'm guessing I'll eventually have to separate them? I have one that I bought at a store, but I can't tell if it's a single plant or several very very close to each other.

A lof the plants grown in production greenhouses are a multi-sow plug (multiple seeds in the plug input) and even a multi-plug pot, so you can get multiple plants in a single plant. It's generally not advised to split them but if you are careful and don't mind losing a few, you can try it. Sometimes it helps to wash the soil off so you can more easily tease the roots apart.
