White roof, red body- that's actually the classic colours of the Oxford saints Full size banger racing team ! (yes a lot of us do race in teams) Turned out nice, Thanks for supporting the formula. Now you need to do an episode of you actually having a go at a banger meeting with it when it's safe to do so, now THAT would make an interesting video and totally different to any other race you've been in !

I like these hard bodies. Fond memories of my Mardave Mini Stock which had a blue plastic shell that was super tough. Polycarbonate is nice and all but if you are actually bashing around they get destroyed sometimes on the first run which is so disappointing.

Now you see why I use a soldering iron knife you don't need to go too close to the outside of the windows and then stand it off with either sandpaper or decent emery boards because it's very easy to send and make a good job of it.... side notes you know the net bag that you get your tangerines and oranges in keep them spray them and they make a good netting for banger windows

Side note you know the bags that you get your origin in the net bags they make really good netting for these as well just spray and with a bit of paint

Using blutac on the inside of the shell makes for easy location of where to drill the holes.

ABS and Styrene shells were around long before Lexan !. Not a basher.....bangers a legitimate race formula on the rc ovals, as are 12th and 8th scale stockcars.

The mesh on the windows really does finnish the body of well.. Having two of these to do some banger racing with my daughter would be cool to do so I think I will be buying two of these for us

This was a really refreshing build, you must have been very pleased with the results. Car looks awesome, looking on their website the most difficult decision will be deciding which shell to go for. Nice to have something that is not quite so "Princessy" as a vintage Tamiya, Great running footage too!

my mardave v12 shell lasted all off 5 minutes!! did last longer than the foam tyres though guess that's what happens with a 9 turn brushless in it lol found the best option is to glue innertubes from a bike over the foam works well for using them outside but there so much fun!! now has a 3000kv motor in it as it is fast enough with that easily had 50 to 60mph out off it though and there stupidly strong and so much fun!! me and my mate race them in my other mate's barn it's like driving on ice with the dust in there though

I've been watching some RC banger racing clips - absolutely brutal! :D :D However, one thing I did notice is the lack of parts falling off and how robust those thick bodyshells actually are!

Well it looks great, I have found 5 places around near me that race or banger race the cars plus the race 1300 cars 2000 cars, 2l stock cars & 3 wheeled robin reliant cars, im just not sure which one to go with, I fancy the 2l stock cars, I shall let you know when I decide to go coz they are closed until after Xmas because of the corvid 19.😀😀😀

Invisible body mounts are a good way to avoid stuffing the alignment on your shell cause you can re-position them afterwards if it's off. Also makes your rc look a lot more realistic.

You can't use them on a banger, as soon as you hit something the body will fly off.

Great video once again. Much as I like your videos of tamiya, Schumacher, kyosho etc it's videos like these that cover kits that others don't that I would love to see more of. Just a quick question, was it a wire or something else sticking out to the right during running. To be honest I don't mind MSC, my first kits ever were tamiya tl01 at the end of their manufacturing lives, several of which came with MSC rather than ESC, not as good of course but perfectly driveable.

That’s a nice RC kit! What’s the wheelbase? Do you think the body will fit any other chassis? Maybe regular 1/10, M-Chassis, Pan RC cars, etc.?

Also, what type of spray paint do you recommend for these hard bodies? Rust-Oleum, Tamiya PS or TS? Etc.

Car body paint works as does Tamiya TS paint. You need to clear paint it after you put down the colour just like a real car.

Not surprised at how flat it handles - given that it has NO bespoke Springs. But WOW it looks like FUN!! I'll be getting ESCs though... I have to ask, is the ABS Body required?? The ones I'm getting for my Grandbabies, I'd prefer Lexan Bodies. You've shown that the ABS Bodies aren't that difficult to cut... Is cost the only advantage? All in all, these look like PERFECT Cars to give Kids to smash around in!! 😊 Carmine ✈🚂🚙

Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping in. The kit is packaged so that you can enter banger racing at club level with a fully legal OOB car that meets the very popular national banger racing rules. This kit enables you to compete with exactly the same spec car as the world champs ! These cars aren't really that good outside due to the low chassis and are designed to run on carpet. They have MSC's to keep costs down and to enable drivers to repair them quickly trackside. ESCs are banned at most banger tracks. Bodyshells are 2mm ABS to help withstand impacts but will still only last one meeting. Lexan are simply too weak for this form of racing. Most importantly however is that this is a fun formula, with trophies awarded to smart cars and the nights biggest wreck. All that aside though, if you want to get a couple of these cars to knock about with at home then they are ideal, robust, easy to fix with cheap bits and quite quick! You'll enjoy them !

No, I'm just getting a few of these for me and my Grandchildren, purely for Cul-de-Sac "Racing", for pure FUN! I can see by the Video that there's very little ground clearance. Our "Circuit" is on SMOOTH freshly Paved Tarmac. Nearly as good as Carpet - except it's 20x as abrasive on Tyres!!! 😖😞 I completely wore the Tyres BALD on my M05 after just a few runs! 😲 I suspect that Foam Tyres won't last very long either. I'm hoping to find some Rubber Slicks for the Bangers. There's probably other Cars I could find, but the Kids are very young, and the Kamtec Bangers look DURABLE!! I may try to find Video of Banger Racing in the UK, to show the Kids... Cheers 🍻 and thank you!
