Matt Mason invited me down for the DangerBird bikepacking event and I said, YES! Over 100 people rode the 250 mile Monumental Loop over the course of about 4 days. Some went fast, some went slow, everyone had fun! In this episode, I wake up in the dark and get rolling early, severe wind warnings spur the hustle. After a beautiful sunrise, I meetup with Kyle and Aaron, we jump a train track and head home to Las Cruces.

Just did my first 70km (43 miles) ride powered by your videos that I downloaded to keep me company. Shouted the Duzer mantra “no crashies, no flatties, no whammies!” And everyone just looked at me. Haha! You’re an inspiration and yes, your positivity pushed me to go ride my bike. Thank you!

On a more civilized planet that red button on that dessert sign would be a water tap instead of a dream killer. Thanks Ryan for bringing that snippet of real life into the light✊ ...team Duzer appreciate the grind but most important, your heart felt perspective ...great ending to another excellent series. Thanks for taking us all along for the ride.

Hey Duzer man: You're costing me! Costing me a lot! Back in the day I used to do a fair amount of road biking. I'm 61 and haven't been on a bike in over a decade. I'm so inspired by your contagious love of life and the epic journeys I see you on that it motivated me to go and buy a mountain bike to get back into it. (It doesn't hurt that I live in Sedona with truly epic single track allover the place...). So thank you so much and please keep it going! I hope someday we cross paths miles from any pavement.

Very humanitarian about your take on the help button. Do I or do I not hit that button near death. Sad truth. Also related to your early departure due to weather. Wife and I are both cyclists but are also live a-boards on a sailboat. Many before sunrise departures watching weather. Keep up the great work!

What an epic experience and the Monumental loop is something that I deffiently want to put on my bucket list. It was wondering to see people of all abilities, enjoying the New Mexico bikepacking loop. The sense of community, that is forged in an event like this is really what inspires us to continue to do amazing things. I am glad you had some more summer time and we're able to sleep under the stars, in the "land of enchantment."
