Finishing on the Lathe with Ack's Paste Woodturning with Sam Angelo

I think the first step tung oil would be a really good product to use on a lidded box even. Hope you’re doing well Sam.

You didn't mention that the instructions for the polishing paste say that, after applying the paste, turn up lathe speed to 1000 or so (depending on diameter of the piece) to generate heat and melt the wax in. I keep the saturated application cloth in the paste jar and use it to melt in the wax. Then I let it cool before wiping off residue with a clean rag or paper towel so I don't remove all the wax.
