Finishing the Bathroom Floor | RV Renovation

We finally are getting around to finishing the bathroom floor. The original area around the base of the toilet was plastic and we didn't like it. So we decided to surround it with our vinyl flooring. We used liquid nails and glued the pieces we cut. We will get our remnants from some of our trim to trim it in the future.
We also used a vice and conduit pipe bender to bend the top of the shower faucet to gain a few extra inches.

The bathroom looks amazing! I feel you with the shower head too. My fiance who is 6'4" always needs an extension on our shower head. So we have a bar that goes up and down. I really like how you bent the shower pipe. I actually think it gives it more character with the bend in it. Makes it look like it was custom made.

I don't know if I just missed it but I can not seem to find how you finish up your shower floor did you just tile or did you put something in place of a shower pan

We put down 3/4” thick marine ply for the floating floor. Then used flexible mortar to create a preslope. Then we used a shower liner and flexible thin set and put penny tiles down. And used a grout that is supposed to have some flexibility. So far it has held up great and we have no leaking. The plastic pan that was down before had micro cracks and was leaking down onto the subfloor. So, for us, we are ahead of the game with that one. :)
