Hi William. Thank you for sharing all you do. It’s much appreciated. Trials and tribulations don’t ultimately stop you achieving so much. Well done. 👏👏👍😀

I'm really glad you feel that way, sometimes I wonder if my videos have too much talking and thinking process, but if you enjoy then that makes me happy.

Hey mate! Great video again! I’m glad to see you got on with the method Id mentioned! Great result from the looks! The bogie assembly looks brilliant as well!

Thanks James - the method worked a real treat. Cheers!

It's coming together William, looking very good!

Thank you matey, I'm not as happy as I could be with the bogie painting - but I'll survive. I just hope the frames don't end up being too much more work - I want to get on with the running gear!!!

The boggie looks great in paint and it is surprising how this is coming together now. Great work

It certainly looks like it's part of a loco now, eh? I think I may have to dissassemble to ease out the spring retainer holes though, I'm using 8mm springs and they only just fit, so the new thicker ones maybe even less so...

You’re doing a great job William, keep up the good work.

Thanks - the frames are really starting to make me cross now though, so a short break while I wait for the surface plate at the club to become available.

Thanks! The wheels are a bit garish but I'm hoping it'll blend in as we get further along. Short break while I wait for the surface plate at the club to become available to check the frames.

Great work dude! Time to get some more wheels in there and see her roll!

Thanks bud! Next job is the axleboxes but it seems that frame twist has come back. I'm considering scrapping them except as drilling templates for the bolster, and using the laser-cut ones I bought at the start of the project :( Any advice?
@CroFittings2 жыл бұрын
Need to get them on a big surface plate, we have one at club (or used to I’ll have to check) and see what’s going on. It might be nothing to worry about but without seeing it’s hard to know
@williamsworkshopuk2 жыл бұрын
@@CroFittings do you think this could be something we arrange soon? I don't want to do the axleboxes I'm set on the horns, which need the frames!

I’m up there next Saturday 4th? Jubilee weekend and clubs putting on some Food in evening etc. drop me an email if you can make it I’ll get your name on the list

Bravo 👏 sir. How did you find the Phoenix paints? I always use to find them very thin and couldn’t get on with them. One day I’ll be able to paint my pony truck like you and your bogie, one day, maybe, if I ever finish building it 😂. Great video bud. All the best, laters, Matt.

Your bogie will be the best bogie of all the bogies. The platonic ideal of a bogie. Eventually. :)

I love it when the primer goes on as it shows up the details on the assembly. Looks great with the colours on now. Good work, good video, hope the missus doesn't see it, or your nose might be bleeding for a second time. Thanks for the uploads.

HA! You're damn right - but a big reason of building THIS locomotive is so it looks like the real thing - so the 'real' paint is needed - at least the green and the brown.
@masterpiecesinminiature82992 жыл бұрын
Lol, Kev is like myself, I think, a Yorkshire lad, and we like Owt for Nawt, but seriously, if you are building a scale model that can be compared to photos or maybe the real thing, you have to bight the bullet and get the right stuff. Well done.
@MrFactotum2 жыл бұрын
@@masterpiecesinminiature8299 Hi MiM Yes, not quite yorkshire but similar philosophy🤣🤣, but seriously i agree you have to bite the bullet, once you've gone down the route of looking realistic. Take Care Kev
