Maybe the plant improvement has a bigger yield than buying a new ones? Otherwise, it does make no sense. I think you could use another tomato plant since you sell them, feed them to the chicken, and make ketchup. This looks like a fun game, in spite of it's glitches.

That is the only thing I could think of that would make sense for that, I’m guessing it’ll be different or actually make sense in the full game. Luckily there was a big patch for the demo yesterday that was released that fixed all the problems we were facing!

The chicken is starving. It won't be good as a roasted chicken if it keeps loosing weight. Also, check your video again because you were selling sugar before you even had it before everything glitched out.
