I am green with envy! We live at 9300’ off of I-70 in Co. And our season is even shorter plus the same challenges you have. You will hate yourself if you don’t put your mints into individual containers-it’ll take over your entire garden and it is happy as a clam that way. Since no greenhouse, I make do with Green Stalks. To have that kind of heat in the greenhouse will definitely make your ‘mators and peppers happy. I appreciate your channel-you are the closest in growing conditions of any channel out there.

Thank you so much for letting me know about the mint. I appreciate it and will get them moved over today to a container. Living in the mountains in general, the weather can be very unpredictable, but your altitude and area definitely comes with more challenges. Thanks for being here! 😊

Wow! So Beautiful:) I love the greenhouse and how sturdy and I love all of the things your growing and I think it will turn out better than you think! I know what you mean about loss. I have my garden now and its like a battle fighting to keep the critters and insects from eating up my veggies etc. I am doing all I can and trying another method tomorrow to save my eggplant. I had already told my husband I wanted a greenhouse for next year and yours really inspires me:) It is lovely with the hanging baskets and nice chairs to sit in will be relaxing and what a scenery! I love the variety of veggies and herbs and the planters on the shelves and I look forward to the addition of the shelves when you put them in. What a blessing this is for you and your family:) I also look forward to the fruit trees and other projects you have coming in the near future! I was thinking because of the deer and animals you would need a protective barrier to keep them from eating your fruit trees. Thanks so much for the video!😃

Thank you so much! Yes, we will definitely have to do some fencing around the fruit trees. We get a lot of deer, elk, and bears that I'm sure would LOVE to get into the trees. I hope you're able to get your greenhouse next year! 😊

@@rockymountainhomesteadangela Hi Angela! Your very welcome:) That will be another video on the fencing around your fruit trees😀 Me too! I am super excited about having a greenhouse and I don't plan on doing a garden next year and keeping my topiary trees that are doing exceptionally well and nothing is trying to eat them. Take care🤗

Need to add solar fan, and be sure to open louvers to avoid over heating. Also rock will help hold heat in the wintertime. Even if it's just dead nage rock on the floor

Take the squash vertical. Works for cukes too, and winter squash varieties.a piece of 2x4 welded wire or hog panel4*4 works even better place in south side to help filter strong summer sun.

Hi! Love the greenhouse! Something I found helpful. I record my garden plant dates and varietal info and when they should be ready for harvest and what the harvest actually was, amount and dates. Then I can determine which plants are the most productive in my space. I am a square foot gardener.i use water tanks for raised beds and patio garden, bc being in town space is a premium. Have found I can plant and re harvest green beans and get enough to can and use through the season. My next step is a greenhouse. Love what your doing!
@rockymountainhomesteadangela6 ай бұрын
That is a great idea! I want to make the most of my space, too, so I will do that to know which plants to keep for next year. Good to know about the green beans, I was wondering the yield on those. That will definitely be on next year's list! Thank you 🩷

Trying the new girl tomato that CSU recommended. Will let you know how it yields down in Windsor. So far they are loaded and have been pretty hail proof.

Thank you so much!! I'm sorry, we didn't use a template. Hubby is a contractor, and he drew it out and built it off of his own idea/vision for it. We get really high winds, so we knew ours had to be built differently to withstand them. I hope you find what you're looking for! ❤️
