Couldn’t agree more with much of what you said: knitting IS addictive. The best way to get better is pick patterns which teach new techniques. And yes, KZbin is truly a huge learning resource. I love your honey bucket bag, so cute! You may have convinced me about the Stockholm sweater….. I normally don’t like how visible the line on the sleeves of dropped shoulder sweaters look, but it just looks SO good.

Your friend's bag designs are absolutely delightful! I've been knitting for 50 years and still have your enthusiasm for trying new things, new skills, new yarns. You have so much to look forward to!! My most recent yarn purchase was John Arbon Textiles Devonia 4ply in the Ethel colourway. 100% British West Country fibres, utterly beautiful. John Arbon is a yarn hero!

Wow! You are so unbelievably fortunate to have such a great designer as a teacher. Her work is stunning, and that smoke sweater?.... Amazing! Similarly, I started exploring hobbies at the start of the pandemic. I've tried drawing, painting, plein-air watercolor painting, candle making, perfume making, jewelry making, leatherwork, playing drums and guitar, crocheting and knitting. The only thing that stuck was playing drums and knitting, and I generally spend 60% of my free time knitting and 40% for everything else.

Hi I found your channel yesterday and I’ve fallen in love with it - I think I may have sat and watched every episode now. Everything you’ve made is so refined and polished looking - I can’t believe how well it’s executed, especially when you describe some of the tribulations along the way. How do you get such a lovely finish on all your garments? Secondly, also the key reason I keep coming back - your styling and understanding of colour and proportions! It’s so chic! You elevate being a knitter and knitting for the skill level into creating pieces which are fashion magazine editorial and describing styling and colour and drape into a fashion selection. Im just about to start making garments and this is what I want to focus on with what I create - how do I create refined pieces which look like quality garments with colours and fit tailored to make me look very stylish and editorial vs here’s a garment I knitted because I can. I would love to hear you talk more about that - even your unicorn michhiln man colour jumper looks runway ready! Show me the fashion ways ❤❤❤

Wow what a beautiful comment, thank you so so much oh my gosh 🥹🥹 the fashion part of knitting is just as important as the creation of the garments for me, it’s so nice that you’re saying this shows in my videos! That’s such a good idea for a video, I’m for sure going to start planning for it 😍 in the meantime, enjoy your knitting and thank you SOOOO much for watching my little videos and for leaving such a thoughtful comment ❤️

For the hand stretching, I was warned off the one where you hold you arm out straight and pull back your hand by my partner, (a physical therapist), because doing it where the arm is locked out like that compresses the joint (at the elbow or the wrist, I'm not sure) which generally isn't good long term. It's a good forearm stretch, but just make sure to do it with your arms bent. You can also do this by putting your hands on a table and using your bodyweight, but I find it easier to use my other hand. Also, massage the hell out of your forearms! I have a rollerball thing that I use and also nick my partner's one head massager from time to time, as I can't do it too well with my thumbs - but a good massage can do wonders ☺
@woozybyceline5 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for the useful comment!! I loveeee my rollerball, I never tried it on my arms and hands though, will definitely try now x
@Wrendymion5 ай бұрын
@@woozybyceline I recently got this one which can be warmed up or chilled and it's so nice 😃I think just use it on the arms though, there's not many muscles in the hands so it might not be as effective. Plus I know you're not supposed to use massagers on bony areas, so I'm wondering if the same is true of rollerballs

Listening to the part where you spoke Italian gave me some childhood flashbacks, but also I was shocked that you can speak Italian and others can understand words, let me explain. My Granny worked in Italy in 80s and till this day she uses some Italian words because she prefers them. In the 90s and early 2000s she was using it even more (especially when she was annoyed at someone and she didn't want them to know, but wanted to say something to them 😂). Her sister is still living in Rome and now I have two Italian uncles from her daughters. It's so hilarious when they come here because my mum and I can't say a word in Italian so we speak English with them (and it's our foreign language), Granny speaks only Italian aside from our native language and when my Grandfather was alive he was so confused what is happening because the only foreign language he knew was Arabic. I also tried to translate what we're talking about in English so you can imagine how did it sound when there was like 10 of us, especially with my Granny who is SO LOUD, when she's talking you can hear her in whole town and she speaks very quickly in Italian, way quicker than in our native language 😂

If you do continental, try keeping all your fingers on the knitting. It is much easier and better for your hands than stretching the finger with the yarn

I am dreaming about casting on the love letter top and trying to decide what kind of yarn will be best. This will be my first summer knit. I see in the other comments that you love the top. Are there any modifications you would recommend? The top seemseemed to fit you similar to the designer’s photos. I was planning to see your ravelry project page to see what size you knit and possibly your bust measurements to see if things finished true to size. I really enjoyed the variety of everything in this video. Thank you.
@woozybyceline5 ай бұрын
Still need to add stuff to my Ravelry ahah!! I made a size small (bust 86cm). I made 2 modifications: I didn’t work the bobbles and just knitted the stitch instead, and for the icord on the arms I spread some “knit 3 sts tbl” to decrease a bit, just because I noticed the opening would’ve been too large otherwise. Hope this helps!

I am making the love letter top too. Did you make the bobbles? Not sure if I like how mine look. I just did the row in the back. I just joined the front and the back.
@woozybyceline5 ай бұрын
I didn’t do the bobbles, the yarn I used is quite stiff when held double so they would’ve turned out too rigid and I wanted the top to be as flowy as possible :)
@brunellacarlberg62225 ай бұрын
Ok! Then I am going to go back and take them out. Do I just knit that stitch? And thank you so much for your quick response! It’s the middle of the night there!!!

Good morning! i m trying to get some guidance Thank you : i post it on Kika youtube also yesterday...Merci! Hello knitters, I need your help. I am not too experienced in knitting but the Lover Letter Top is so beautiful !!! that I had to try it (I'm size M). I'll spare you my knitting journey, but it's been a lot of learning and fun time (doing it and undoing it ) Right now, I'm in Chart 3 row # 6 finished. According to the instructions (M) : I have to repeat row # 5 and # 6 (twice). But row # 5 has increases. If I make the increases in the repeat Row # 5 x 2 the number of stitches will be 87. And if I continue reading the instructions : I also need to increase in rows #9 and #11 and the stitch count would be 91? not 87 as it should be. If I don't increase both times in row #5 and increase in row #9 and #11, the stitch count is 87 as in the instructions. This gives me 87 stitches. The count is good. I don't know what to do. I'm inclined to think of not increasing in row #5 twice and doing the increases as written in row #9 and #11. Is there someone who can guide me? Also, the written instructions don't mention row #10 but it's in the diagram, so I guess I have to knit it? Merci beaucoup !
