FINISHING the Restoration of my Repo Accord Euro R!

Two months ago this car was barely drivable. Now it's one of the best cars I've ever owned and I can't stop driving it!

Coming from a CL9 owner - The most impactful mod that I did was to swap my rear ARB (anti-roll bar) with a 22mm Progress one. Completely transforms the car and removes the body-roll 100%. Now the car feels like I'm driving on rails in canyons (on stock suspension). So so so enjoyable. I also have reflash, exhaust, 4-2-1 header, decat... but hands down 22mm ARB is the BEST mod! Swap it and thank me later :)

Cool video man! Having driven a 6 speed TSX something like 20 years ago, it always surprises me to see the TSX and putting it together with the sound that Euro R has from the K20 engine. Still, just surprises me.

@@KiwiCarLife I had a black 2000 Torneo Euro R years ago, despite having much faster cars since current being a V8 there was just something about it, if you enjoy driving it hang onto it and fly the Honda flag high 🙂 anyway just my 2 cents

Car is coming along good. My bumper was hanging. Used the little hack you showed in your other video. Didn't use wood. Used a plastic block but it worked well. Fitting clean now👍

Car looks & sounds fantastic, great job! For rear suspension noise, check your lower control arms for bushing wear, common with older hondas. Perhaps even turbo it and pitted against your Lexus? That woud be somethig! Keep up the great videos & 'glorious' narration mate!

@liam, the bumper gap is an easy fix, just replace the brackets below the headlamps and the ones on the wings, where the bumper fits into, even the new headlamp brackets will sag a little after time, just with the weight of the bumper, jam a little block of wood under them once fitted, no more sag, perfect gaps all round, had to do this on my blue uk cl9, still fine after a year

clunks from the rear are probably the swaybar bushings. I had the same thing. Grab the swaybar and give it a few strong tugs and you'll hear it have some play.

Before you do a track day upgrade the rear sway bar. These cars handle awesome but only if you remove the big understeer. I recommend ideally a 20mm H&R sway but even a 19mm still helps over the factory pathetic 15mm bar.

@@allanbowman9797 I've set mine up for track at Ruapuna and competed in last couple of Ruapuna track attacks (2021, 2022) and can say yes rear sway bar is essential and massively increases corner grip speeds. I'm on stock motor but with ~10k of handling mods. Of all my mods (spoon rigid collars, camber arms, cusco on swift springs etc etc) I can say the rear sway upgrade is the biggest bang for buck of all and after 3 sway bars over 5 years (18, 19 and now 20) I can confirm an adjustable setting 20mm is really ideal for the CL7. Less understeer also means way better front tyre life and less front tyre overheating on track in a fronty.

After seeing the last 12 honda accords, which had terrible owners, no service history, and exterior and interior were thrashed. The first non-japanese car I inspected, a 2006 Commodore VE SV6, was beautiful inside and out. So I got that instead for my first car. But in the future, I hope to get a little Honda Accord Euro as a fun daily, one's that not thrashed.

Great to see the Euro unbuggered! Since you have an aftermarket intake already, if you're looking for ideas you could delete the resonator and extend the intake to pull in air from outside the engine bay! I bought a 70mm L shaped aluminum pipe, waterproof intake sock and a 45 degree silicone pipe for a total of about $70 from AliExpress and fitted it into the hole where the stock intake resonator comes up so it now draws in cold air! Many already have some sort of aftermarket intake so I would think it would be applicable for many viewers! Cheap as chips mod in my opinion, plus you already have a video to delete the resonator 😉

The breather in the right side of the head is actually sucking air into the engine, not outside the engine, so if you don't connect it to the intake, you should put a small filter at least, the engine is sucking unfiltered air
