Thanks for sharing this! Your enthusiasm for the writing and editing process is always infectious and it helps me to know that others struggle with writing slumps. It's also funny that you have some of the same habits and struggles (like starting too many projects) I do when writing. I stalk places on Google maps to get the visuals in my head too. (sometimes I'll even fly around a city in Microsoft flight simulator and pretend I'm being productive, haha.) My own cat is also rather codependent whenever I'm using my laptop. Recently purchased an acrylic monitor stand that goes over my keyboard to keep her (adorable) little feet off it. 10/10 purchase. Would recommend.

The cat situation is rather new, as now we have the dog as well and the cat does not like the dog, so she seeks refuge on high surfaces 😅 Hoping for the day when they can finally get along. Oh and speaking of Google Maps/Earth, I sometimes go into it in VR! Totally different experience haha, it's really cool (it's for research of course).

Good job on doing those revisions, girl! :D I am struggling to finish rewriting my story SG, stuck on chapter 21 (out of 27 planned ones) atm. Meanwhile, I am writing/drafting a new story on days when I can't focus on SG at all. :')

I do that too, always have at least a couple projects on the go, that way I can make progress on something rather than nothing 😅

Love how your cat added a scene. (Mine didn't not inspire the cat in my story.) Love the snow, I don't get anywhere I live. I have used google maps a lot for my writing. Hope you had a nice Christmas! I'm currently on the second book my fantasy/sci-fi series, but I have a major problem. Due to the fact that the story doesn't end until 2024, I can't get it published until after July without making a how time-travel thread (Which I don't want or think I am capable.) Thus, it might be temporarily shelved. I'm also worldbuilding on another book that is close to my heart. Glad you finished your revisions!

Ah yeah, time travel can be quite difficult to write, I don't think I would be able to either 😅 Sucks that you have to shelve it for a bit, but great that you have other stuff to work on until then!

Ohhh I bought the emotion thesaurus a few years ago but the electronic version and printed it out myself. The physical book looks much prettier though.
