In Finland there were no el-locos yet in 1962. The 50Hz 25 kV system came in 1968. Tampere railway station area has changed so much...but the beautiful cathedral is the same.

Finland has 1522mm gauge from the 1810-1917 russian ockupation era. Curious about origins of the finnish rolling stock, for example the orange/white "2225" at 4.50. Sweden has the standard western (Stephenson) 1435 mm with swedish built rollings stock.

Tak for et godt opslag De sidste minutter er fra indsejlingen til København/Danmark. Ærgerligt at fotografen ikke holdt sig til skinnerne den sidste del af turen, for så kunne hun/han der i 62, have taget en jernbanefærge fra Helsingborg til Helsingør eller Malmö til København, smart.
