Yep Mike, almost a very costly mistake, a couple of lucky breaks. The rod landed handle up and also the drag was set with enough margin to allow the fish to keep taking line off the spool and not break the line or gear. Both just pure luck but saved the day. It's got be feathers Mike! Tight lines!!

Thats a real heart in your mouth moment. Glad it came right in the end could have been very costly that one and not good for the fish if it was attached to the rod.
