They are there on a business trip which people have paid good money for them to take and the cameraman is doing his job to get good shots. In that circumstance you aren’t going to try to hit the cameraman (or if you would do so you probably would never be invited to such a thing). It also may be one of the guys they spent the trip hanging out with. But they are there to do a job and they equally aren’t going to put effort into not hitting him, if he gets in the way that is his own fault.

@thebotrchap3 жыл бұрын
It depends on where you are in Switzerland. For us in Bern we just apply for a specific exemption permit (exemption because FA guns are forbidden by law, except when you ask nicely). We must also prove that we are able to store the FA gun according the regulations (bolt and gun locked up in separate rooms). That’s it. The caveat is that you need another expensive license every time you want to shoot.

Question for Bloke and the crowd. Is there any reason, aside from breaking the 180 in this case, why you wouldn't want to do a 1-arm kettlebell swing during the kasarda drill? Are you required to place your firearm on the ground prior to doing the swing? There's really no mechanical advantage to using two arms if your technique is sound. Most of the force is generated by the hip-hinge so you could theoretically toss the thing just as far while saving yourself a few seconds by not putting your rifle down.
@jic13 жыл бұрын
As I recall, it's banned from brutality matches because it tends to carry an excessive risk of injury.

The Kasarda drill in snowy conditions has an element built into it that snow will get into sights eventually. In the Finnish military pretty much nothing taking two hands is done without the weapon strapped or taking a "German knee" and placing the muzzle of the rifle on top of your supporting leg's boots heel. A standard procedure. Throwing something with both arms is not in any military training as far as I know. I've been proven wrong though. Good sport however.

They're "Brutality" matches. It's sort of a spin-off, I think, of the 2-gun Action Challenge matches that Karl of InRangeTV originated (Desert Brutality). Varusteleka got involved and they started Finnish Brutality, and this is the first winter iteration. InRange has some more video from this and previous iterations on their channel. I forget if they explain it at the beginning of this video here, but the premise is relatively low round counts plus heavy physical exertion.
