Sorry you were not feeling well but glad you are feeling better! Beautiful flowers and earings. Have a good week.

Thanks for doing a shortie! Better than skipping a week (which I do understand sometimes has to happen). Oh I remember Marimekko from when I was a kid living in your beautiful country for a year! Love the chicken earrings! Also love "I'm flying away with my chickens..." Nothing wrong with "carrying it on..." And don't ever be sorry for a short cast! Name's day! We don't have that (for the most part) in my country; I'm so glad you do it! And you know I love everything Moomin!

Hope you continue to feel better! Love your sense of humor and ready smile. Thanks for the crochet ideas and links! We saw the northern lights in Michigan, US. It showed up for 3 days. We have tick season too. After mowing we do tick checks. Hate them. I found one on my washing machine today after I threw in the dirty clothes from mowing. Shudder!!!

Your earrings and shirt look very cheering, Jana! :) I did not see the northern lights you speak of, but heard from others who did and saw a couple pictures. I feel like I was spoiled for Northern lights when little, because I was lucky enough to experience one of the most significant solar storms recorded in history (August 1972) right from our family's back yard. It was an experience I hope to never forget and am so grateful to my dad for getting us out of the house that night to witness it. I'm so glad he was in the habit of watching the night sky and that he noticed when it started. It happened back in the day when I don't think there were methods for alerts or anything, and I believe it was unexpected. We laid on our backs watching in awe! It felt close enough that I could reach up and touch it! I did not want the display to go away and felt sad when it was over! We lived in a rural community at the time so did not have any light pollution around either. I hope you feel better soon and am glad you are feeling things turn around, in a good way. ❤

So true what you say about rest. For me, as someone with a chronic illness and associated fatigue, getting my head around the fact that rest is productive, did wonders for my mental health. I used to feel guilty about being "lazy" but I've accepted that my body needs more rest than other people sometimes.

Jana, you sound better than you did earlier in the week. You seem to have been sick quite a bit this year. I really hope that with the weather breaking so will your health. Because if you don’t get better soon you will have to change your channel from knitting to crocheting since that’s what you like to do when you are not feeling well. I saw the best Northern Lights I have ever seen before and I don’t think I will ever see them better any time in my life. It was spectacular. Take care.

Take care Jana, first your health and then the work. It's very important to love yourself from time to time and to postpone everything you 'have' to do and focus on the things you 'want' to do, or not to do. The rest will have to wait. Just like that. You are not alone!!

Yay for summer coming at last. Though summers usually mean those nasty biting bugs. They are not so bad where I am now, and the constant breeze off the ocean helps keep them away. But it also means it’s cooler. Such a cute cheerful dress! Chicken earrings are fun! And your Battenberg blanket is lovely! I’m plunking along on an Isabelle pullover by Coco Knits. It’s cotton, so not lovely and soft until after it gets washed. This stuff really feels like string. So sorry to hear it was a rough week with your health, but maybe with the warmer weather you will get feeling much better and faster. I deal with a lot of arthritis misery that comes and goes, but keeping a careful watch on what I eat has helped a lot. So I hear you when you say it was a bad week health wise! I hope it’s a happy week for you and all who see this. 😄

For the first time in memory we saw the lights in Alabama. It was really strange lol We've been trying to go see a football game for the last 3 weekends and it keeps raining. I finally gave up and just went to have ice cream tonight. I LOVE that dress! So fun!

Really sorry to hear you haven't felt good recently, but hopefully you have turned a corner. Yes, rest is so important! Thank you a lovely episode, even though it was short. You really don't ever need to apologise for that! Also wanted to say, I just love that Sofia would ask for flowers for gifts - it sounds like she takes after her mamma 😂💕

I totally agree…I hate ticks. We have 5 dogs and in one week we had 11 ticks on them. We live in Michigan in the US so I guess they are horrible all over. But I also hope you get well soon 😊

I love that dress! I did not catch the name of it. Please share. 😉 Those chicken earrings are darling - I clicked on that IG handle and WOW! 😍 After seeing this all my life, I am still amazed at how quickly plants pop up through the dirt after the last snow has melted. 😯 It's almost like the there are seeds in the melted snow that plant themselves when the runoff penetrates the dirt. 🙂

Jana, you look especially lovely today in your beautiful Marimekko pocket dress. That dark inky blue color is very becoming on you. I was reading that the Marimekko logo is 70 years old this year (1954-2024). The designer of the logo was inspired by a font on his typewriter. I've had a wall hanging of a Marimekko fabric for over 40 years. I bought the fabric during a trip to New Orleans then had it stretched onto a wooden frame after I returned home. You did a great job with your crocheted chicken earrings. Hope you'll be feeling better soon. I enjoyed today's casual episode.

Hi Jana. You reminded me about Mother’s Day. I had a very nice Mother’s Day this year. My daughter picked me up with my two granddaughters (my 17 year old grandson did not want to cone and he stayed home and played computer games) and the four of us went to a nice shopping center that was outside, and there was a nice bookstore there where I bought books and bookmarks for my granddaughters; and then we went to an ice cream shoppe where we ate the ice cream at a table outside, and the weather was beautiful. I am sorry you did not feel well on Mother’s Day but still had a nice day. I am glad you feel better now. Take Care. 😊

Hello Jana Thank you for dropping in. I’m always grateful to see you. Fun knitting ! And crochet! Ticks are terrible here in Minnesota! The worst I’ve seen in many years! Do not like them at all! I’m sitting outside on my porch with my hood up to keep the gnats off my face and neck… not working. I hope you’re better soon.

Hi Jana. I am enjoying your videos. I like the color of your dress. That blue color would be very nice for something that you want to knit. It suits your complexion. I finished making a scarf with alternate colors of the Rios yarn that I had left overs for various knits that I knitted where I bought the complete set of yarns. I am waiting for ten skeins, 6 of the purple yarn and 4 of the white yarn that I am going to make for my 19 year old granddaughter, who is home for the summer, and the old blanket got ruined by a small dog, and I am looking forward in starting the new one. I will do a little every day and will not rush on it. Take Care. 😊

Thank you for taking the time to record when you’re ill , you’ve had a rough time health wise over the winter and spring…….I hope it’s not a yarn allergy that’s causing the repeated sickness. I love your chicken earrings , they are so cute . There were 3 nights that we should have been able to see the Northern lights but we were fogged in two nights and the other night I could just see a little bit of green streaks. I’ve seen them a couple of times over the years when we have really cold crisp weather. I hope you’re feeling better soon so you can enjoy your summer🙋🏼♀️

Awwwww I hope you feel better soon, Jana! We are under the weather in our house too but of course there is no rest for me. 🙄🤪 The ticks have been bad here in Arkansas USA also, I just came in from taking the dog out, sat down and there was one walking down my arm. I sent him down the sink drain. They are awful little things! I’m crocheting too, not sure why but it is comforting when you’re sick. 🪻🌷🌸🌼🌻🌹

Jana, seeing how flattering that dark blue color is for you, you should think about knitting a Half+Half Triangles Wrap in the Linen Quill colors of Dark Denim and Kettle Black. Two years ago Nicole of "The Gentle Knitter" here on KZbin came up with that color combination, and her wrap was gorgeous.
