The songs were finished before the new bassist Fami joined, but she rerecorded the demo bass tracks and made a lot of changes in the process. This piece is not typical of the direction of the new album, which is mostly a very fast, thrashy, heavy type of power metal. They have focused much more on power metal this time. Example: Soldier Stands Solitarily kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpbIk4Gae9l_p68 (even for seasoned headbangers, this is really hard on the neck).

Music by Miyako & Asami (first time!!) Lyrics by Asami. Generally Miyako does her own arrangements, so she definitely is using Fami. I believe Miyako can play the drums or any instrument she puts her mind to. Fami with Midair's guitar?, Fami plays the guitar quite well. Love the song but the interaction among them is what I really love. It's a sign to me they are friends not just bandmates. Always a positive!!

Motörhead was a really good reference point. From the opening bass riff there was a real touching point. And Haruna's drumming here reminded me of the great Motörhead drummer, Phil Taylor, especially that twin bass drum attack. The guitar solos had the flavour of both Fast Eddie and Phil Campbell. And last, although Asami's vocals are stylistically light years away from Lemmy's growl they both own the song. I first heard this band about 3 months ago, before that I knew nothing about them. Now it feels like heavy metal is alive again. The reference points are too many to list but every one of them sits at the top table.

The mic stand setting that Miyako(G-Piano-Black hair) used was too high for Asami(Vo). 【From an interview with Asami(Vo) and Fami(Ba) for a magazine project in Japan】 When Covid19 subsided and the audience was able to speak up, Asami thought it would be nice to have a song that everyone could sing, both on stage and in the audience. Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus. Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means. For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult. From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver. "Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!" Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king. Asami wanted to avoid that. Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver. Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning. Stand up and be free! Rise up and be free! Arise and be free! Let's get up and be free! From there, Asami put the following thoughts into the lyrics. Nothing satisfies me. It's boring to be like this every day! Let's go more bouncy! Let's be bold and do something different! Let's break out of our shell!

Great reaction, definitely Motorhead vibes which is awesome. The songs for this album were written before new bassist, Fami, joined Lovebites. I recommend you do the last track of the album, Soldier Stands Solitarily kzbin.info/www/bejne/oanXgKd8rtqtprc, composed by Miyako. It's an audio track only but so worth it. It is power thrash speed metal in one and more RELENTLESS than anything I've ever heard. If this last track is any indication what the next album is going to be like, with the addition of Fami's writing abilities...GOD help us. 🤘

This is not the highest step in Lovebites speaking of solos. On this album, they go higher on several songs, with quite a few really spectacular solos. I'm going to recommend "soldier stands solidarity"... which probably has the fastest solos on the album. But I would recommend "Dissonance" first. (symphonic metal Or the australians NE OBLIVISCARIS? (Progressive Metal) I would like to know what you think about them.. and especially their guitarists!!

I have to agree that there are really impressive solos on the album too. I'll probably check out some new songs by Asteris or Nemophila soon. Thanks for the other requests too!

I love Lovebites but I suggest you maybe some new music. Band is called Vintersea and they just dropped a new song and music video At the Gloaming Void. They are not so well known but they write very powerful music!!

Good reaction. You've been away from Lovebites again. Do you know that Miyako the dark haired guitarist released her personal album on June 22nd. It is just an amazing work. It consists of six metal covers but those are more than cover. Try Miyako, Etude Opus 23. This is one of those covers Eagle Fly Free kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5mWc3-IqJWLqJY. She also covers Far Beyond the Sun by Yngwie Malmsteen and it sounds as if it was composed as a classic piece and Malmsteen covered with guitar.
