"Scream weep" would be a very accurate way to describe that last scream. This is a very heavy song for the band because it honors their drummer who had passed away. Everything about the song you can feel their emotion, their expressions in the video, Matt's singing, even Syns guitar solos just ooze the emotion of the song.

You are one of the rare reactions I have come by so far. I have seen other "Vocal Coach" reactions to this song and none of them have had a response as great as yours. You completely understood the complexity and mood of this song. What M. Shadows does on vocals is spot on. They all have a say in the arrangement of their songs but ultimately all the harmonies and background vocals he comes up with and the whole band helps sing on the tracks. You broke this song down perfectly and I applaud you for this. You just became my favorite reaction coach to watch. Plus the fact that you are Finnish and not only are you speaking to your language but you are also throwing in English plus subtitles for us Americans. Haha. I love it and thank you again.

Moi moi Anna, the lyrics of this song touches immediately from the start after listening to it the first time. In combination with the increasing intreging vocals it deepens your soul more and more during the 10 years existance of this song. Especially the unwanted, and in my case also recently unexpected, loss of beloved ones in those years makes this song very special. So far away.

I imagine someone has pointed this out already, but Matt has really evolved his voice over the years. Back in 2002-2006, his tone was very nasal, very pinched, that trademark 'ee' sound was really the majority of his sound- he's gradually opened it so much into some really beautiful tones and careful use of distortion. I've been SO impressed at how much he's done!

A7X is one of my favorite bands of all time, I listen to them constantly. One thing interesting about Matt's voice is how much it changed as he got better at singing over the first three albums. In "sounding the seventh trumpet", their debut album, you can hear that his pronunciation is less clear, as well as he sometimes struggles to hit the higher notes. Their third album, City of Evil, is my favorite, literally every song on that album is awesome. His singing definitely sounds more I'd recommend Bat Country, Trashed and Scattered, and Beast and the Harlot, to start. Also as others have said anything from their Live in the LBC concert is amazing.

I hear bits of Kansas and Chicago ..but it was a good performance in its own right. Quite mellow and reflective...
