This Ring of Fire cover song from Home Free as great tribute to the all times legend Johnny Cash. You can see how talented they were already back then. Hard to believe they have only gotten better. Tim Foust is a true bass who sounds natural going low. It does not look like it takes any effort. And Adam Rupp's beatboxing is stellar as always. And love how humble the guys are & supportive of each other. No divas in this group.

Home Free has been around since 2000. But they hit it big after winning Season 4 (2013) of The Sing-off, which this vid is from. Each week, they only had a short time to pick a song, arrange and practice it. Here, they chose a well-known Johnny Cash song and gave it a new spin. Voiceplay competed on The Sing-Off that same season, and finished 5th or 6th. The two groups have always been friends. Tim Foust, the Home Free bass, taught Geoff Castellucci a lot of his singing-low techniques. The last note Tim hits in this vid is an F#1. Home Free's only personnel change since 2013 was that founder Chris Rupp left and was replaced at baritone by Adam Chance.

She was the sweetest person I have ever met. Genetically I am mostly western/northern European, but I am forever fascinated by the northern European that is the other bulk of my ancestry. Welcome back Anna! It was interesting to hear how you pronounce your surname, because you pronounce it exactly the way I imagined it. As I told you I don't speak Finnish, but when I was in Finland I noticed that Finns very often speak the same way as they write. I don't know if that's always the case, but it's very obvious to me because that's exactly how it is in my native Polish. It seems very natural to me and much simpler, much more so than for example in English where we speak differently than we write. And by the way - on each of your films it is impossible not to notice how beautiful woman you are! But when I saw you today in your hat and shirt, I can only say one thing - wow! And repeat - wow, wow, wow! Warm greetings to you from Poland, beautiful Anna! Anna, suggestions here are spot on. Other Home Free suggestions would be Helplessly Hoping, a cover of a Crosby (no relation) Stills and Nash song. Also Working for a Living is fun and introduces the current members. Some of their more recent videos include live performances but there are a bunch of phone recorded videos of them live (along with some of the between song antics). The beat boxer (vocal percussionist) also has a solo at their concerts that have been recorded (there is one that gets most of the views but it is a few years old and his newer ones show his growth from amazing to unreal). As for other "extreme" vocals, both Tim Foust (HF's bass) and Geoff Castelucci (the bass from Voiceplay) have solo works that are amazing. The subharmonics Geoff pulls off are stunning and, I believe, are related to the growls Tatiana from Jinjer does. I'd also suggest looking into Slaughter to Prevail (Demolisher is a good intro) and their lead vocalist Alex Terrible. He covers a bunch of songs with his extreme vocals as well (Like Astronaut in the Ocean). Love your breakdowns AND they make me feel like I'm keeping my mind sharp since I have to read

Great reaction they one of the best acapella group along with Pentatonix, Voiceplay, and Voctive. Some other of their country songs. Take Me Home Country Roads, Man of Constant Sorrows & Non -country When a Man Loves a woman should be listened to

Home Free Mayday cover is probably one of there best. When you have time Anna give it a listen you may be pleasantly surprised.

There is a version of this song by the same group but includes "Avi" Kaplan that I like better.

Voice Play, Voctave and Home Free. Now you have to try Pentatonix. I'd recommend their "Hallelujah" or "Daft Punk" medley. I personally like the "Daft Punk" medley and the story that goes with it. Filmed in a members apartment/flat, they spend $500.00 on it and it wins them they're first Grammy award.

I agree, Pentatonix here I come!

They recently released a haunting version of Dire Straits' "Brothers in Arms". Besides it being beautiful, you might be interested in it because they contacted "Club for 5" (a Finnish group for those who don't know) and asked to use their cover arrangement of the song. Club for 5 generously let them use it. It's very interesting listening to how each group performed it.

I agree with your overall comments. I think nerves definitely played a part in the pitch issues. This was when the group was still really young/new. There is more beauty in their more recent performances/videos and a depth of growth that puts them above their peers in my eyes. An intersting connection for you, as you are familiar with Voctave. Many of tge Voctave performers are from Voices of Liberty at Disney. Austin Brown, the tenor soloist from this performance, also used to sing with many of the Voctave group as part of Voices of Liberty. Please look into more Home Free.

Now it's time to react to Home Free "Man of Constant Sorrow", "Thinking out Loud/Let's get it On", "When a Man loves a Woman", "Mayday" and "Brothers in Arms". Brothers in Arms is the song of a dying soldier.

Anna home free has another video of ring of fire with a bonfire. That performance surpasses this performance. A must see.

Thank you for reacting & analyzing Home Free! They are good here and I think have only gotten better in the ensuing several years. One of their more-recent masterpieces is "Man of Constant Sorrow," which you may want to check out some time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5bakJWce9ulpdU

Well that’s really good because they are hands down better than any of the other a cappella groups at this time. Oh no, this is the wrong one to react to. You need to see the Video ft. Avi Kaplan.
