Well I know I am late to the show and you have probably seen this recommendation before, but no one did it quite like Dani Filth from Cradle of Filth! His distinct vocals are recognizable in almost any track. You could even try "Full Dark, No Stars" by Devilment, which is his second band :) Much love as always!

Anna! You are my favorite reaction channel by FAR!!!! I love how little you pause during the video and save the majority of the analysis for after your first impression. You genuinely focus on what the artist is doing and try to feel out where the sound is being created in your mouth even though you don't study extreme vocals. I also love that you don't get caught up in forced overly dramatic reactions. It all feels so authentic and you aren't obsessed hearing your own voice. So many reaction channels constantly abruptly pause the song, disrupting the flow the artist designed just to ramble and say nothing. . . I love the balance you have found in your videos.

He just released lessons in Coop with Elisabeth from CV and on the trailer for that his mouth is filmed in close up right in front so one can see what he does with mouth, tongue and so on. The whole thing contains of 50 things on how to do/improve your harsh vocals. Also, the no problem is an inside joke that is aimed his haters and not a look at me thing.

Great reaction and analysis as usual. It's amazing how Will does what he does. I know there isn't any real pitch with his vocals, but when I saw Lorna in concert recently, there were several times that one could plainly make out melody in his vocals. As a performer, he is very animated, covering a lot of the stage, but never seeming like he's working at all. Heckuva nice guy as well.

Even with all the profound and interesting info you provided above, actually hearing this is a blast of almost unbelievable sounds Will produces. I'd never thought that in such kind of singing could be so many facets. And I might not have realized them without your hints/pauses/analytic details. Still, it's kind of wonder for me, but obviously a result of Will knowing very well what and how to do. In few moments it seemed at least to me that he is not only aware how some listeners are stunned but is having fun with that. Thanks Anna for the different ways of your guidance ! 👏👍

I am not very familiar with this style but you can't help but appreciate what he's doing here. Your breakdown/analysis puts a different perspective on it for me, Anna. New found respect for a style that I normally wouldn't listen to. As for a song suggestion, what about "Dance of Death En Vivo" Iron Maiden? Easily one of my top 3 Maiden songs of all time that doesn't get the love that other songs such as Hallowed, Trooper, Aces High, Fear of the Dark etc... I think you will appreciate Bruce's vocals in this one as well as 3 blistering guitar solos. The total package of this performance cannot be denied. Just a perfect combination of storytelling, stage command, vocals, instrumentals.... A truly great live performance!

Great analysis as always! One other thing that gives those low growls so much resonant space is that they're done with the true folds held open, which as far as I understand means those low growls can use sub-glottal space to resonate, further increasing the overall resonant space for that type of vocal.

Isn't it incredible how ingenious we are 'physiologically constructed' allowing to be able to go to such versatile and even puzzling sounds ? It also tells me what profound background/knowledge (and probably own experiance) it takes to actually be a true vocal coach. Also very interesting to see artists related to certain "sound-variants" used. And, getting from theoretical insight to actual using such "techniques" I'm sure it takes a lot of work. Which adds a lot of respect for those who do - vocalists as well as teachers. I may have over-read (?) but thought Jinjer might occur among the named artists. Couldn't believe how she can sing so different ways without ruining her voice. Anyway, awesome to get a glimpse of what all is behind the wide range of musical splendor we enjoy 👏👍
