It's basically a cruise ship with added functionality. Many tourists take it from Bergen all the way up north. It's one of the biggest tourist attractions in Norway. Hurtigruta :)

Thank you Bjørn and Ole for everything you do for the environment and for everyone who has or wants to buy an EV. We have to wait and see how traffic flows in the summer of 2020, I believe that many who have EV will drive up to Nordkapp or Kirkenes when they know that there is fast charging that covers the entire Finnmark.

Hi Bjørn, I am also a Tesla Model 3- owner (AWD LR RED 19") since ten weeks and we (my wife and me) are currently also on a road trip to the North Cape. We just missed you (about 3-4 days ago), because our paths crossed each other! We drive in the opposite direction (counterclockwise) to the north end and were at almost the same points as you were before. Skaidi Hotel on the 14th to 16th of June to drive to the North Cape on the 15th of June. A pity, I would like to meet you personally, because I follow your interesting videos since I was infected by Tesla. Maybe another time. @24:05 Kautokeino is the largest municipality in Norway at 9707km². That is bigger in area than the counties around Oslo currently. You can basically combine Østfold and Vestfold and be at around the same area. After 2020 those two counties will no longer exist due to several mergers.

Almost too far from known charging location? Pah! Try the middle of Hungary, or several hundred kilometers into Romania with no plan but to finish the 400KM leg to Iasi. Also, having cycled into Kautokeino I can assure you it is NOT flat! That was at the end of a 120KM day though. I stayed at the hotel just out of shot to the right as you drove down a hill with a lake to the left. Had to climb that hill to get there. Damn do I want to go back to Norway though.

Where is the second (slow) type 2 charging station in Alta? I can not find this one in PlugShare, there are only Schukos (beside the Scandic charger).

I looked around a bit and if you're talking about the building with the dark red wall, it appears to be the Alta Kraftlag (power company) building at Markveien 46, 9510 Alta, Norway . Bjorn @13:52 in video you show you are Charging AC destination 16 A at 237 V getting 69km/hr with your P3D. WIth my SR+ I charge with my home L2 charger (non-Tesla) 29A at 242 V but only getting 48km/hr. What am I missing here?

@@bjornnyland So they just mark the sides of the road? In North America there is a line in the middle and the sides. If the middle line is dotted then you can leave you lane and pass, if it is solid you can't.

Dotted lines on the side of the road in norway means narrow road. You can see that there is no markings in the center when you have dotted lines on the side.
