The "not the predator' guy from blood on the dance floor is doing well on his own now, mostly doing horror based drag. He was on the second season of Dragula and did really well for a lot of it. Even he has come out and said Dahvie(the predator) basically made it so he(Jayy) had to depend on him for everything. He didn't actually give him his pay and when Jayy got sick with HIV, Dahvie MADE HIM KEEP TOURING. He nearly developed full blown aids because of it. Dahvie is a creep for a lot of different things.

Honestly the thing about separating the art from the artist in cases involving REALLY BAD STUFF is this (how I see it): 1) Is there a clear line of demarcation (time-wise) between before the artist in question started doing bad things (or promoting hate) and after? If so, then any work recorded before it is OKAY at least in theory, but anything after might be kinda questionable... 2) Does the work in question seem like it invokes the artist's worst actions or attitudes? Do any songs seem addressed to potential victims or to show particularly hateful opinions (i.e. love/sex songs that sound directed at underage fans, songs that refer to gay people in homophobic terms or use fascist/tankie-adjacent language, etc)? 3) Is the artist's actual music still good? Is he/she at least talented? Ideally the answers should be Yes to Question 1, No to question 2, and Yes to Question 3, and if at least 2 of the 3 answers are correct I CAN separate the art from the artist, if not then I generally can't...

When i was very little i ised to like blood on the dance floor. I'm so glad i never had a crush on Davie Vanity. Sadly i was jealous of his hair. Later on i found out they are actually wigs. And i didn't find out about everything Dahvie did until 2019. Btw i wasn't even a fan of blood on the dance floor anymore by 2013. I complete forgot about them until there were videos about Dahvie on KZbin. I also would like to mention that I'm so glad my parents have always been so strict.
