Really not bad performance for a .38 in Clear Ballistics, especially for a budget round. Tumbling isn’t terrible, some expansion is better than none, and other than the 3” they definitely did not overpenetrate. I suspect Organic gel would have had all bullets expanding and no overpenetration. Your tests are much appreciated!

Thanks for that test. I have shot their 130 grain ball ammo for qualification shoots but never saw this JHP line.

New Sub! Cool to see this tested in a variety of barrel lengths. I just have the snubby.

as a reloader of 44years of knowledge and experience of many calibers and testing with water jugs i can honestly say the bullets i chose for self defense and hunting did around 99 percent expansion that it did in the water jugs coming retrieved from live animals. bullets that wouldn't perform to my expantations i don't use for self defense and hunting. papa wishing you well 😊

If you pay a premium for hollowpoint it's not worth it as far as expansion goes, but on checking, the wadcutter rounds from Fiocci are going for just about the same price so why not? I really did not like the complete pass through with the 3". It's a 6" barrel round only for me. Thank you for the test.

Considering Fiocchi is generally a budget brand, the results I've been seeing with a lot of their rounds has been impressive.

Sometimes they work in a 2" even with denim. Sometimes they won't work in a 4" in bare gel. I think consistency may be an issue. I've seen the same inconsistency in their .380 ACP.
