Yep, she has said in interviews that she'll only write when she absolutely needs to. I really respect her for that cause those are the musings of a true artist, though its a double edged sword for us fans. On one hand its great because you know her work is passionate and true. It's rough though because she takes sooooo long. I bet she's happy with life now and that's why she's not writing, at least I hope she is. Even if she never writes again, we still have 3 timeless gems from her.

My mom got this album "When the Pawn" the week it came out..and i swear she rocked out to the entirety of the album from day 1 to probably the year 2003, when she packed up & moved to Montana to start a new life with my step-dad. I was only 6 or 7 when the album came out & I pretended to hate when she would play it, but in all truth..I have ALWAYS loved Fiona since hearing her for the first time. And when I was 14 (2004) my mom sent me the CD and had then memorized every since word of every single song, bc Fiona doesn't have a single bad song or shitty lyric..If I were to have a "spirit animal" she would totally be mine. The fact that she has always been able to write such raw, deep, incredible song lyrics and then put them with her ever so beautiful instrumentals has always blown my mind, seeing how she was only a teen when she started writing, goes to show how old & pure & beautiful her soul really is. She was ahead of her time..and no other solo female artist can hold a flame to her, especially being that she is a genre all her own. If other solo female artists were to even slightly compare to her, I'd say it'd have to be Adele and/or Billie Eilish, for both of those outstanding artists also started writing their own one-of-kind bangers aka lyrics/songs as young teenagers. Just like Fiona, their words (lyrics), their unmatchable old soul beauty, and their ever so obvious incredibly badass stage presence has become recognized & has deeply touched the hearts & deep souls of so many people (especially females) across the world! Just sayin'! 😉

I get starstruck just watching her perform on youtube...utterly incredible! like another poster said, I'm cool with just the music on CD, it's so damn good...but LIVE? no words... I especially like the cover when she starts, like bill withers?youknow bill withers?here's bill withers.... love to hear that voice wrapped around a billie holiday song (and I would NEVER say that lightly)

Brilliant song-writing and lyrics from Fiona. I think she's too little known for her amazing talent especially in Poland vs some mediocre singer-songwriters or pop stars with bland, awful songs. Here it's Fiona at her best, so raw & full of fury!

"To Your Love" Here's another speech you wish I'd swallow Another cue for you to fold your ears Another train of thought too hard to follow Chugging along to a song that belongs to the shifting of gears Please forgive me for my distance The pain is evident in my existence Please forgive me for my distance The shame is manifest in my resistance To your love To your love To your love I would've warned you, but really, what's the point? Caution could but rarely ever helps Don't be down, my demeanor tends to disappoint It's hard enough even trying to be civil to myself Please forgive me for my distance The pain is evident in my existence Please forgive me for my distance The shame is manifest in my resistance To your love To your love To your love My derring-do allows me to Dance the rigadoon around you But by the time I'm close to you I lose my desideratum and now you So now you have it, so tell me baby, what's the word? Am I your gal or should I get out of town? I just need to be reassured Do you just deal it out or can you deal with all that I lay down? Please forgive me for my distance The pain is evident in my existence Please forgive me for my distance The shame is manifest in my resistance To your love To your love To your love To your love To your love To your love To your love To your love

I wonder why Fiona has never done a Bond theme... She would've been a revelation as opposed to the last few.
@christopherherman37986 жыл бұрын
I actually have a script idea that uses songs from When the Pawn and Extraordinary Machine thematically in the service of a story which could be Bond, or more likely would be Bond-esque, as It would be too layered, too political, and not quite formulaic enough for the producer's Bond template. But, sure, besides that, they could have and should asked her to write a song specifically for one of their films, maybe they still will. But I wouldn't bet on it, unless Tarantino gets to do his retro Bond thing, and then maybe he would ask her, as I think they are friends.

🎼🎹🎶🎵🎯👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥😎❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Text to My wonderful Fiona; That evening I listened to "To Your Love" by Fiona. I was wearing expensive headphones. Fiona is brilliant, she's the masterpiece of the century, she's the best person I could ever dream of. Then I saw Sophie. It was so long ago... He says to me; Remind me of that evening in the parking lot where we met, when we saw each other for the first time. That evening when the bus you were waiting for arrived. Remind me of this evening, no other. Tell me this really happened. What were you thinking about then? Did you touch the sky because you heard Fiona? I know. You touched. Today everything is different. Stop! What has changed? You say that in the morning I pierce your dream blue sky, that I make you depressed. And then you ask why I don't come back to you in my dreams. You say; Because of you, I can't even organize things in my closet! Am I less beautiful and good than I used to be? Guess what I'll do?. Sophie, you composed the songs and revised the lyrics. You were so proud that I was next to you. What happened that I don't understand anything? Do you want me to leave because you have no patience with me anymore?... If you insist... I'm leaving. Don't scream! I won't leave. Do you want me to remind you about that evening in the parking lot? I want the same thing. Let this evening come back! Now."
