What an exceptional video Fiona! This kaleidoscope cane turned out so lovely-the colors are gorgeous and the pattern is just perfect! You obviously put so much time, work and care into making this and all of your videos. Your efforts are so appreciated!

When I saw this I thought it would perfect for me. I’m just so excited. I’m not into the representative sculptures. The kaleidoscope canes absolutely wow me. Thanks! It’s even more exciting than I thought. 150 boxes! Maybe you should auction some of the boxes off and send them to the winners. Can I come over and just sit with them for a few days?

Thank you Fiona for such a interesting and informative video. I didn't realise how long clay lasts. I would love to see your storage and working area. Are you able to work/store in a pc only area? I would love to see a live tutorial, I'm now a member of the British polymer clay guild so I shall keep my eyes open😃, I'm in Norfolk and think the group meets in Diss which is a bit of a way and I get very anxious and can't get out often. I shall have to try to get my big girls knickers on lol. Thanks again, great results and take care🤗

Thanks so much, I have shared photos on social media of my workstation/room, but it's a few years back now, may have to repost the videos. I am so glad you are part of the guild, and the group that meet in Diss are lovely, and you'd have a great time. Is there a friend who could go with you the first time to make it easier for you? I understand what you mean about the anxiety issue, and am lucky enough to have a wonderful group of friends who are very supportive of me, so maybe someone near you could help out, at least for the first time, so you could see if it's something you'd then like to do again. You can always 'chat' to the group leader of the group on Facebook as well, as there may be someone nearer to you who goes to the group who you could get a lift with half way perhaps? We have a number of people who come to our group who share cars as one can do the journey, one cant etc. Hoping you manage to get to a meeting and have a fabulous time there. 🤞🤞🙂

Oh, thank you for this. I have canes that are ancient. I will try this technique to revive them. I also bought a big block of Sculpey III (stupidly) eons ago. That stuff is STILL soft and unusable for canes. I wonder if I rolled out tiny snakes and added them to a cracking cane if that would work. We’ll see.
@FionaAbelSmithPolyOriginals Жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful. Not sure about the sculpey III, as the cane will still reduce at the same slow rate, and the softer clay would just go into any cracks. I would definitley only try it on a cane that you weren't worried about should it go wrong, just to be on the safe side. 😉🙂
