I draw and edit in photoshop, i do photographs all in all i have great attention to detail, yet i dont dot i, becouse it seems to me kinda pointless
@FionaMacKayYoung5 жыл бұрын
So you've made a conscious decision as to how to write in that way. That is fine. However, if it has become or does become natural, so that you don't have to think about doing it, it will also affect your natural detail ability. How your mind thinks so do you behave.

If I dots size is big what does it mean?

I haven't dotted my i's in years. Like, what's the point? (Pun intended)
@FionaMacKayYoung6 жыл бұрын
I guess details just aren't your thing then, "Warrior Sapling" and that's fine.

My i dot is same as detailed but the difference is that the dot is at the highest part of i not closer. What is it mean?
@FionaMacKayYoung5 жыл бұрын
The farther away the dot is from the rest of the "i", the less attention to detail is there. For that it doesn't matter where the dot is - left, right or high up - it only matters how far away it is from the rest of the letter. So if you 'i' dot is far away it means you do not bother with smaller details.

Aam i dont know why i make dots in everything i write.....👈these dots....what dles it mean..?
@FionaMacKayYoung4 жыл бұрын
These dots just mean hesitation in what to write next or (as in my case, because I do them all the time too) laziness in writing with correct punctuation! It's not really related very closely to any analysis of your writing:)

i-dot to the right has a meaning. It means the person is impatient. pls correct your info.
@FionaMacKayYoung7 жыл бұрын
Hi Donchichi, I'm afraid an “i” dot just because it is placed to the right of the stem does not mean impatience. It would be unfair to label someone as impatient just because their "i" dot was off to the right, and especially where there is a far right hand slant, an i-dot to the right would just be a natural continuation of the slant. If it is a jabbed dot, then like all other jabbed dots, no matter where they are placed, it means irritation - which is part of the meaning of impatience. Impatience itself is an evaluated trait as it involves several individual traits: irritability, impulsiveness (very far right slant), enthusiasm (long sweeping t-bars) and strong drives (heavy writing, especially t-bars & long, straight heavy tails on g, y & j.)

Okay. I would agree with your explanation on the right hand slant. I am a vertical writing and i can see from my i-dot to the right and from others who i have analysed that it due to impatience. Yes impatience is an evaluated trait and may involve other individual traits but most cases the i-dot to the right for me and in others is due to the fact that they lack patience. May be we could hear from others readers. Its a good job ur doing. I love ur videos. Keep it Up!!!

Thank you. I still hold to my view that to tell beginners (who are the majority of my viewers) that any time they see an i-dot to the right that means the writer is impatient would be misleading, as there need to be other indications also. However, I appreciate your explanation of your view of this, and your obvious knowledge of graphology. Thank you for contributing.
