It would seem that many of these so called "heroes" are not in it out of a genuine and selfless desire to help those in need or a moral standard to see justice reign but for power, superficiality, glory, greed and gratification! Personally I do think Heed has strong feelings towards Flug, be they platonic or otherwise (I don’t think even she knows tbh). The two obviously were close in the academy and have left an incredible impact on each other’s lifes. That’s why she tries to reach out. But Heed’s perception of things has been twisted by her self loathing. She doesn’t value herself and seeks to try and find that self worth through the admiration of others. Because of this she has started behaving in a hyper sexualised way and can only really distinguish in “love” highly romanticised and sexualised love that is and “hate”. So that is how she is going to reach out: By kissing him. But she does so non-consensually, because even if she has some kind of feelings for him, her need to get validation from others outweighs it all. Heed doesn’t really care who it comes from, as long as she gets affection. All of which to say I do think she has a lot of feelings towards him but her low self esteem and toxic world view stop her from really appreciating Flug, only viewing what he can give her first and foremost and I wish it didn’t have to be this way.

I agree with most of it, but apart from the self loathing I think her hupersexualized attitude is becasue she is histrionic (HPD) and this is where the need for attention comes from, if you look it up she has all the symptoms of a person with histrionic personality disorder and even the age when she left the academy is the same where HPD starts showing.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD: _______________ Heed and Flug went to the same villainy school, Heed was for lack of a better term based on flashback clips 'cringe'/'annoying' and can be theorized was unpopular due to her constant need for being the center of attention. Heed witnessed Goldheart and became an admirer of his. Heed changed her mind about being a villian and wanted to earn Goldheart's admiration. As Goldhearts motto can essentially be boiled down into 'anyone can have a heart of gold and be loved'. Flug was working on a thesis to manipulate human emotion. While it was incomplete Heed saw this as an opportunity to become admired enough to win over Goldheart's affection and stole Flug's incomplete thesis. She later used this to get closer to Goldheart and become a member of his hero organization called P.E.A.C.E. Heed later learned that the formula was imperfect and needed Flug to complete it, hence the premise of this episode. Goldheart and Flug became each others nemesis later on. THE REST IS THEORY HERE ON OUT. There is a paper clipping from flugs room at the beginning of this episode with the heading of 'scientist shamed and proven wrong by gold heart villian escapes in aircraft.' It has been stated that Flug has a brother. That brother theorized as Goldheart as in the end of the episode Goldheart watches the scene unfurl on the news and reacts like an older brother would react to finding out their younger brother broke the families vase again. Flug loves planes and it was a plane that crashed into Black Hat's headquarters. Thus leading in the Flug servitude theory where in Flug serves Black Hat solely due to the fact he crashed into one of the most powerful villain's homebases and Black Hat see's Flug's intelligence as an asset that can be exploited. Now in the same episode the thing that breaks Flugs hypnosis is a memory that is triggered when he hears heed talk about Goldheart and to quote "She's using me for Goldheart?" you see the flashes in 2:15-2:20 which shows a past of him being heartbroken. Theory being that Flug and Goldheart always had a sibling rivalry but that was Flug's breaking point which turned him full nemesis. Now for the FlugxHeed ship. It isn't so crazy to say that Heed did have feelings for Flug as well. As there was no reason for her to go full mouth to mouth when Flug specifically stated a kiss on the cheek was fine. Even if she was using him as a pawn to get to Goldheart there is no denying that they were to a degree close friends back in the academy as Flug was likely the only person who loved her for her and not her persona. In the end of the episode when Heed is in the Asylum when Flug calls her by her real name as she pines to him for his love and attention she rejects it entirely, as Flug before he leaves tells her "You first need to learn how to love yourself." Now that leads into the HeedxGoldheart Theory. In the episode Heed looks at his social media profile and the [Add Friend] button is still shown. This means that either Heed herself never had to courage to confess to Goldheart herself or that Goldheart is well aware of how misguided Heed was and actively chose not to reciprocate. Based on first impressions of Goldheart he just genuinely seems like a good guy. Thus willing to continue a friendship and business relationship with Heed but knowing better not to indulge her as in the long run its a self-destructive behavior. That, or he's a himbo. The opposite of Flug, the airheaded, always the optimist, and strong one to flugs brilliant, insecure, lanky self and was simply incapable of seeing how misguided Heed's actions were. I mean a citywide version of mind control is obviously not something one would call morally cool. That said, the ending of the episode implies Goldheart was likely aware and also that maybe it threw a wrench in his plans for 'ridding the world of villainy all at once.'

This is such an interesting show. It's not exactly blown my socks off as far as writing quality or plot, yet it kept my attention the whole way through. The animation is lovely, and I'm intrigued to see where things are going. Interested to know if they'll ever explain why the heck Flug is working for Black Hat, considering Flug seems like an average guy at worst, if not a pretty decent one. Definitely not suited to villainous deeds, especially for a literal evil incarnate that eats puppies and spoils season finales.

But as got to push the speaker to call her, i started to hear noises like she was saying something...But when i put ear one the cell glass, there was nothing but garbage noise saying....LOVE ME FOLLOW ME?!?!?!?!??! I think it's all been said before, but I think it's clear that Miss Heed/Ceclia is lost. I think she's her own worst enemy, and has been the architect of her own nightmare. The symmetry is what I find absolutely amazing: Her introduction has her physically reject her servants - she manipulates them "heartlessly", if you pardon the pun. To her, they deserve manipulation, they deserve to be teased with fake kisses, "not one of those" kisses that show commitment. She repeats that line, "Not one of those", at the peak of the story - but the context changes everything: Dr. Flug is a victim to her chemicals, but breaks free. He's heartbroken, and when Miss Heed offers him affection, he wants to refuse. Doing so would blow his cover, so he plays along - but only offers her something harmless. He doesn't want to be lied to and subjected to her insincerity, her lies. Just a kiss on the cheek would do. He doesn't even have to look at her that way. But Miss Heed affectionately refuses, and insists on physical contact. She wanted to show genuine love, an earnest kiss. "Not one of those" kisses that she's been so accustomed to using. But... how can we reconcile her actions from her betrayal? Heed is a hypocrite, in one moment she is gloating over stealing Flug's formula, but in the next, when he asks her whether she's using him, she panics, tries to make excuses, instead of just dosing him with her chemicals. Why the need for an excuse? Why bother praising Flug? Does she even know the difference between love and lies at this point? And if she can't, how can we expect anyone else to understand whether she's being honest or not? Miss Heed has lost herself in the sauce, literally now that she's fallen into a vat of her own chemical. In the beginning, she expects Flug to praise her for her plan, as if this was something Flug would approve of - as if they had been friends this entire time - was this all just a massive villainous plot that Heed jumped into without thinking? I think it's pretty clear Ceclia sought affirmation, from the school photos she seemed to be a loner like Dr. Flug. I think she found an unhealthy means of trying to compensate for her low self-esteem, this grand quest of manipulation and affirmation. And in a couple of moments, like Icarus, she felt confident enough to truthfully act on what she truly wanted. But because of all of these lies, it was all doomed for failure and one nasty fall from grace. A cup with a whole will always be empty in time, no matter how much you try to fill it up. It'll be interesting to see where her character goes from here.

To be honest this was beautiful the music matched perfectly with the video it makes me want to watch animation now hopefully there's an English dub for the whole show for some reason on KZbin a lot of it's Spanish I don't know why any idea where I can find it in English dub if you don't mind me asking? PS I never really thought much about the music video but after listening to it while watching this video mix with the music it's a masterpiece that's all I can say you completely perfected it! 💗💗💗💗💗

I feel bad for Dr. Flug he obviously cared a lot about Cecilia but she stole his research and just left. Whether he actually likes her romantically is debatable? She was the only classmate and peer who didn’t bully him and didn’t treat him terribly well in the end she did so I think he’s holding onto those memories tightly. It’s obvious Flug didn’t have the best home life and probably didn’t have any friends besides Cecila. So learning she stole his research just to get his arch enemy/(possible brother) to notice her must’ve been quite the blow to his self esteem and ego.
