It is a new way to look at rigging - different to using a pulley. The size of the ring and the low friction bring these advantages:
- it allows to use bigger diameter ropes,
- it allows to use 2 or more ropes together at the same time,
- the surface treatment prevents that friction from damaging the ropes quickly,
- its size makes it overheat slower
- it brakes loads by reducing the forces on the braking system
Example1-rigging descent with Fiori's ring: 16mm rope, 4kN load, using the inner hole of the ring = the load in friction is less than 3kN
Example2 -rigging descent, double whip with Fiori's rings: 18mm rope, load 10kN, using the inner holes of the rings = the load in friction is about 3kN
The Ring’s great strength and this possible use turn it into a perfect tool for big rigging works.

This is not a tutorial video. They must be used only by trained and expert people.
If you are not able to calculate loads, ropes, vectors... don't use them.
These rings are made thinking to use ropes with bigger diameter, and to use them in different ways.
Here there are some personal suggestion that WILL NOT substitute ftc instructions:
#1 if there are more than one rope running in the internal hole, they don't have to touch each other. Be carefull also when you retrieve the rope from the internal hole, it could raise and scrape violently against the other rope still in the hole
#2 In particular situations the ring could start to turn
#3 In long and fast descends, the ring could overheat
#4 If the "black cover" worn out, the ring will overheat quicker
#5 it's dangerous if the ring is crushed between two pieces of wood (example: trunk and block of wood in double whip set up)
#6 when you use the external groove. dropping a piece of wood from higher, be carefull that the rope could go out from the groove
