I'm guessing the school used to have a Fire-Lite or FCI or Gamewell system or whatever that the Wheelock 7002Ts were installed with, but then they upgraded to a Simplex system.

Well, looking at the other videos. The older section with the 7002Ts have Simplex 4251-20s. The 7002Ts were likely installed on a older Simplex system
