I was at this taping! It was a bomb alarm. They actually had to stop filming and cleared the studio out until the all clear was given. Then they brought us back inside and resumed the show. It was great to be part of a "happening", so to speak.

Honestly his tbs show he has total control which he wouldnt have had at late night. He has really branched out with his sattelites and using cold opens and all kinds of new thing to late night comedy. It really is great.

You are doing a great public service by posting these videos. My favorite Conan moments that got deleted/blocked are Max Corrects Conan. I forget what year that was but would love to see that again if you've got it. I also loved when Conan announced the birth of his son Beckett on the show in the monologue area (I think that was 2008 but I'm not sure) and there was some hilarious screw-up with the cue cards. I have been dying to see that again.

The "narrator" never said anything about a fire (except for the obligation to reveal his occupation). The definition of a "condition" could be applied to any event. Imagine if the actual reason for the alarm being a medical emergency on the 5th floor.

It was actually a bomb threat or something. I was at this show and that commercial break was right before they made the entire studio audience evacuate downstairs (being that the studio is on the 3rd or 4th floor). The show was delayed a good 30-40 minutes before filming resumed.

Didn’t he do a skit shortly after this detailing fire escape routes for various types people within the audience? I remember a bit about a guy wondering what route a guy should use if he had multiple restraining orders against him from women in the audience, and there being so many jokes about douchey stereotypes and one about axe body spray. I super want to find that clip if it exists 😕
