Get ready to light your bass drum foot on fire! Sarah Thawer teaching us this killer lick that we can use as both a drum fill and exercise around the kit to improve bass drum control, speed, power, and fluidity. Work your way up to speed by practicing this with a clear focus on playing the notes as consciously as possible, making sure each note is pronounced and clear. Time to get those single pedal chops up to par!

I've always LOVED a good ringy snare tone, not sure why everyone hates on it so much (ya ya... St. Anger... I know, it doesn't bother me.). Crazy foot grooves BTW...

She is truly amazing! She IS making the rounds. I first saw her in a duet with Rob Brown. But she's got that St Anger snare going on! Back it down a quarter turn or throw a moongel on it, Please!

Amazing! Very Good! I've seen a magnetic foot pedal...that reacts to magnets...with the magnet itself, you can customize how the pedal rebounds! If I were a drummer, I'd want to try it, I think once you're "attuned" to it, there is NO foot pedal that reacts faster!

I'm sorry but I feel cheated, I expected to see a very clean and powerful technique, but the reality is different, she lose many hits and others sound very messy :(

I agree with you. Especially the part starting at 4:00 was very sloppy. I don't understand why she is playing one foot in a sock and one with a shoe. If anything, wouldn't a shoe give her more smack on the BD?! I'm sure there are many metal drummers that could easily top this. Still, I believe she is a great drummer. It's just the purpose of the video was defeated a little. I wouldn't make a tutorial about a topic I'm not rock solid in.

I've seeing Thomas Pridgen playing in socks and he's not suffer the lack of control that she does I think in her case it's more a bad idea

Jason Enz yeah, I always only take my shoes off immediately before I play and put them straight back on after. I really don’t want to walk through everyone’s spilt drinks and broken glass. I find shoes restrictive while playing and stop my natural foot movements.
