Wow! What a nice car! As a kid I remember when my dad bought a new '67 Country Squire wagon with the 390 engine. I remember looking at the window sticker with all the options, priced at $5,600+ dollars, saying to my dad, "that's alot of money", and my dad just saying words to the effect of..."that's not what we paid for it." Thanks for highlighting such a beautiful, and unique car! The closest that I have to this man's unique car, is my number 55 matchbox fire chief car, modeled after a 1965 Ford Galaxie 4dr sedan, in red of course!

What a neat car! This would be a blast to have! In 1966 Ford motor division was the first to have the innovation of the two way tail gate! It was introduced in 1966 then all other car companies followed in the years after. Growing up we had a 1965 Ford country sedan wagon and it did not have the two way tailgate. We had a 352 four barrel in ours and wouldn't pass a gas station. We had dual exhaust as well but it was in a bad place as all the weather gets thrown on those tail pipes being bent and directly behind the rear wheels. Looks great but we found in ours it was not a great place for them. Love the rumble of that 390 engine! That car would be the ultimate blast to have! That red is really red and I loved the black top! This car is just a great great piece of automotive history! Thanks for the fun Lou and thanks for sharing this fun unit!!!

Hi Lou, that is a beautiful rig, but it's probably not an original, rather a clone. That particular siren wasn't introduced until the 1970's and the 911 emergency number was first introduced in 1968. Still a beauty. I am glad wagons are finally getting the respect they deserve. Unfortunately way too many have been destroyed...

Talk about red alert! That CB under the dash looks just like the one my father had installed in our car back in the '70s. As I recall it too was a Motorola. Ford first came out with the dual-facing third-row seats in 1965, and then introduced the Magic Doorgate for '66. It was the first wagon tailgate that could swing both ways. According to the June 2006 issue of Collectible Automobile, this was made possible by using hinges that were designed to pivot or disengage depending on which way you opened the gate. It was standard on all full-size Ford and Mercury wagons and all Fairlane and Comet wagons, and optional on Falcon wagons. I'll tell you what else should come back...station wagons. If you want to find more station wagons to cover, why not contact my club, the International Station Wagon Club. We have a few videos here on KZbin of our past convention shows.

Nice looking car but the emergency warning equipment in the front is not period correct...any of it. The Motorola radio is a CB that was made in the late 70s. The siren and switches from the late 80s. The rest of it looks great but that stuff in the front just ruins it.
