Graviteam Tactics: Mius-Front - tactical battalion level combat simulation. It is a sequel to Graviteam Tactics: Operation Star and Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.
Game is comprised of two modes:
Operational - turn-based mode where you can shift and concentrate forces in the chosen directions, resupply and replace units, repair and refuel vehicles.
Tactical - real-time mode where you are conducting fire combat with the enemy, capturing territory, destroying vehicles and the enemy manpower.
Four large-scale operations for the Red Army and Wehrmacht with realistic organizational structure. The campaign features more than 100 detailed vehicles produced in USSR, Germany, US and UK. Over 140 sq. km of realistic landscapes were reconstructed from topographical maps and photo and video materials.
New enhanced UI: streamlined interface of various panels, radial orders menu and other enhancements.
Interface appearance and customization: three variants of appearance are included, customizable unit markers (Red Army, Wehrmacht, NATO).
High replayability and advanced AI, which selects the best strategy based on behavior, not a predetermined script.
Advanced management of forces in the operational phase: reinforcement strategies and management of reserves.
Statistics keeping: performance of each unit is recorded (kills, losses, awards, etc.). After each battle, damages and condition of forces and vehicles are shown in the after battle statistics.
Battlefield simulation: realistic vision devices, smoke screens and flares, creation of trenches, explosion craters. Remnants of previous battles remain on the battlefield until the end of operation.
Realistic soldier behavior: each soldier has several essential parameters, such as experience level, stamina and morale, which influence their behavior and effectiveness.
Detailed weapon modeling and realistic ballistics: bullets and projectiles follow ballistic trajectories, taking wind, temperature and other parameters into account.
Advanced armor penetration: modeling based on ballistic histograms without simplifications of probabilistic methods, generation of secondary fragmentation fields takes into account many parameters, such as the change of the field shape in space, fragments and armor characteristics, armor thickness and damage conditions.
Complex vehicle damage system: engine, suspension, sights, weapons and targeting mechanisms can be damaged separately, affecting the combat capabilities.
Destructible environment: almost everything can be blown up and destroyed, from landscape surface and buildings to vehicles and enemy defensive installations.
Advanced control of the off-map artillery, featuring various fuse settings and shell types.
Formation and movement modes: lines and columns, movement by road and covertly, infantry following behind tanks, setting a delay, fire sectors, etc.
Automatic smoke screen laying: units set up smoke screens when enemy is spotted.
Dynamic change of the time of day, light sources and weather effects, influence the course of battle, visibility and area passability.
Also, you can view detailed info on each unit in the interactive encyclopedia. Interactive tutorial explaining most aspects of the game is included.

I was the one that asked the difference between Fire Control and Fire at Will so I appreciate you putting this out. I hope you don't mind, I have some constructive criticism. In the title and at the beginning of the video you make it sound like the video is going to be about explaining the difference between Fire Control and Fire at Will. The visual part of your video is actually you demonstrating the difference between moving covertly and fast moving then staying concealed when coming in contact with the enemy. You did speak a bit about Fire Control's role in artillery/mortar situations, but it would have been best if the visual part of your video was about that. For example, have a mortar platoon demonstrate firing and not-firing with the appropriate Fire Control and Observed Fire buttons toggled on and off. Also, I might have missed it, but I don't think you demonstrated the difference between Fire Control and Fire at Will in the context of artillery and mortar platoons. In the future I'd suggest thinking of the main points you want to teach in these instructional videos, then plan out what to say and how to visually demonstrate these points. Lastly, when you're giving a key point, speak slowly and concisely. Almost as if you're teaching a child. Some of Graviteam Tactic's UI and mechanics aren't intuitive and you'll be doing us a favor by dumbing it down. I hope this helps, I typed this out because you seem sincere in putting out Graviteam Tactics content and I really hope to see you succeed and grow in the future.

I would like to keep seeing more Graviteam Tactics, particularly Tank Warfare Tunisia. I am also very interested in exploring how the Ai responds to different situations, so I really like this video. Also, at about 9:30 to 10:15 in the timeline, you see the little circle in the center of the movement/fire control for Ai is black, and sometimes it is white. Do you know what this is supposed to represent? I even see this sometimes in the deployment phase.

The black circle inside the white box is just an indication that someone in the platoon may not have AI Control turned on. When it is a whitebox with a white circle AI/FAW is turned on for everyone in that platoon. I have used the Battle editor a lot and the AI tends to respond in a very specific manner. I put tanks on one point and give them an attack order. They will take the shortest path via the road 100% of the time. The AI isn't super complicated at least in the battle editor it isn't. I need to play a bit more of Tank Warfare. The graphics are good and it uses US vehicles. North Africa is an interesting theater.

Thought AI fire control also allows individual unit members to fire at targets that are invisible to them via designation?

id love to see what you know about the strategic/logistical phase of the game(the white map) the most. That info is very hard to find. ill watch any informative videos you have on graviteam though because i dont know what i dont know sometimes. i appreciate your hard work

The manual isn't the best. I have read about supplies before. I will look into it again. The process is simple. I think units just need to be close. I will look again.

Do you think it's worth transferring the unit to ai control? in other words turning AI maneuver control on?

It depends on the engagement. AI control needs to be active for artillery to work. If you want to strike a target before your units arrive then leave it on. If you want to delay it in order to drop smokes. Turn it off.

@@cagedglobe2139 The AI does extremely dumb stuff; however, if you turn of AI Maneuver control you will have to manage a lot of units. Reference Page 35/36. I mainly play with it on. I have not done a ton of experimenting with it off. I think I will make a test video on it tonight.

@@cagedglobe2139 I would also like to state that units with AI Maneuver control on will engage enemies automatically. This happens if there is no other orders given to the unit. I think the engagement range is 500km. They will also seek cover and take defensive positions. AI is on by default. I would only turn it off for certain situations.

Can you show firecontrol for mortars on the operation modular dlc with the new ui. I cant seem to get it right.

I own the DLC. I haven't played it to much. I will have to check it out. However, fire control should always be turned on if you want to launch mortars. You should also have the area designated. If AI firecontrol is off your commanders will not tell your units to fire.

I have tried all sorts of titles. Peoples interest need to be caught. I can title a video graviteam gameplay 2021 and no one clicks on them. This goes for my subscribers as well. I try to title the videos interestingly while still grounded. You aren't just going to buy a red ball. Youre going to buy the very best, brightest, and bounciest red ball. No other ball compares to this ball. I can't believe this amazing red ball does this. It is just the way KZbin and consumerism is. Everyone from 1 sub to 100 million has some sort of "clickbait" video. I am sorry if that annoys viewers. I do try to improve content but the fact is a lame title = zero views. Less than what I get now. I am working to improve but it is a process.
