You know, the disturbing thing about this scene is the fact that if Lucina had the resolve to kill her own mother (MU), then that would mean that her brother Morgan would not be born into the world. That would be pretty messed up.

She would be sacrificing two people, her family. The death of two could prevent the ressurection of Grima for another few years (until they breed another perfect vessel), then again there is a flaw in Lucina's plan. You see, Grima of the future followed her, so even if the past Robin dies , Grima would still be revived (see Chapter that involves the Dragon's table).

Oh NO, I'm gonna kill someone I love vs. OH NO, Mom kills Dad, so now I go back in time to save dad by killing mom, but I CAN'T DO IT, I love her too much NOT TO MENTION I HAVE BOTH DRAGONS' BLOOD FLOWING IN MY VEINS. There's a more screwed up dynamic in there when she's the mother.

RE: Morgan. Well, Lucina thought that she was willing to kill her own mother. So, really, what's consequently denying her brother his existence at that point? She knows that she's utterly destroying her family regardless, but feels she has no choice to save her father and the world. Still, I do wish the Avatar -- you know, HIS MOM -- would have mentioned Morgan and the lack of existence thereof at some point. Yeah, he's optional and you might not have recruited him yet, but the devs had already programmed SIX separate scenes for this: Mother!Avatar, Husband!Avatar, and Unrelated!Avatar, along with Yes/No responses for each. You'd think they could have handled two more with a mention of Morgan if he was flagged as recruited.

It's called consistency. Considering how I started subbing with the Japanese version, the LP will continue with the same subtitles. Not to mention the Japanese track says "Fauder" instead of "Validar" on some voice clips. I *AM* playing the Japanese version after all.

I finally realized after watching this but. FEA is actually based off space. Star Wars to be precise. Luke=Lukina(Lucina) comes to the past to save her father from Vader(Validar) And then there's the energy beam sword at the prologue, the dark side... Heck the avatar's favorite quote is "time to tip the scales" I wonder if anyone caught onto this though :X

With the Male MU, if you don't resist, she shows very little regret. Of course, this version is her mother, but with Male MU, Chrom has to come break it up just before Lucina kills him.

I really like the purely translated from Japanese script rather than the English. Some of the wording is a miss to me. Like "Have you gone mad?!" While in the Japanese ver, the FEMU only went "...!!!" And those words she was saying as a mother and Lucina's reaction were flowing so naturally just like that. It might just me being an asian tho.

1 multiverse theory is accepted as the de facto cannon in FE at this point. 2. Even if it isn't the timeline has been alterd the moment Lucy first shows up 3. She's already been born. That being said her sibling in this case isn't so

Cometstarlight From what I remember, it's basically where Lucina is more intent on doing it, and proceeds even if you don't resist. However, before she can, Chrom interrupts her.

Cometstarlight The non-mother non-lover scene is still pretty intense if you choose to reject her judgement. If you choose accept though, you get a really anticlimactic 2 line dialogue. Best to only choose that option in the mother or husband cases.

All right, this is my final opinion after watching this Japanese version: 10/10 English version: 5/10 The Japanese version is a lot better, you can actually feel the pain and sadness.

You see, this is why my F!Robin always marries Chrom. It literally makes the game better. 1. Lucina and M!Morgan both get great stats and access to literally every class their gender allows them 2. M!Morgan is superior to F!Morgan, change my mind. He’s too adorkable, I can’t even 3. M!Morgan having big sis Lucina is too precious (I can’t stand him being an only child, and Lucina’s the only option) 4. You can’t tell me that Chrom and Robin’s first meeting didn’t make it seem like they were destined for each other or SOMETHING 5. This scene makes me cry. Even though my favorite characters, not including the child characters, are actually Henry and Gaius, both of my playthroughs married Chrom (I do like him, but he doesn’t come close to my favorites). In games where you control an avatar that can date/marry someone, I always either ship the avatar character with that person, or that person is one of my favorite characters (but never someone I waifu/husbando, that’s too weird for me)

Uhhh while I'm not gonna bother someone on how someone else enjoys the game... Just be aware than #2 gameplay wise doesn't work from the sheer fact you can't stack Aether with Luna on M!Mark/Morgan. It only matters on Apotheosis or higher difficulties but be aware your statements are entirely subjective on that front. If you just mean your opinion on the character as a character then I can't stop you on that. Despite them being the exact same blank slate that "child" character a player can dote over.

Of course what I said is all my subjective opinion. The only points that could be remotely objective are 1 and 5. I like M!Morgan’s character (and character design) more than F!Morgan. They have basically the same personality, but there are notable differences. M!Morgan is more timid and kind, while F!Morgan has a bit of a sadistic side. I just like M!Morgan’s personality more. I don’t claim an M!Morgan fathered by Chrom to be better than F!Morgan, just that Chrom isn’t a bad parent for him (and Robin is obviously not bad at all for Lucina). I do think having Robin!Lucina makes this scene much more heartfelt than even when he’s married to her, but some people like that one just as much.
