The Inigo/Owain support where they genuinely don’t like each other and have to grow and learn to be friends makes their Fates support where Odin is Laslow’s rock as Laslow struggles with the feeling that he is losing what made him Inigo and all the memories of his past life much more powerful. They still bicker and tease each other, but it is out of love instead of disdain.

Honestly the trio appearing in Fates are probably one of the biggest reasons I'd like Fire Emblem to try properly dipping into supports with more than 2 characters outside of just occasional cameos. Farming supports while listening to the "Conquest" OST is the most precious memory i have of this game. This game made me WANT to farm the supports, and i have done so for DAYS. These characters inspired me to write, that's the impact these characters had on me. I love Three Houses like almost no other game, but Awakening made me want to pursue my, today, favourite hobby, no book, no movie, no real life experience achieved that, no, it was this game. It holds a very special place in my heart and always will.

Henry, just EVERYTHING Henry is soooo good since it's the perfect blend of humour and realisations of WHY he uses so much humour. He's far from the only tragic dark mage in the series sure but he is the one who sticks most with me. His whole thing with Nowi of like "its simple we just make more dragons so you don't have to be alone, boom problem solved!" But he's so enthusiastic about it because he knows exactly what being alone is like.

I think my favorite is the Cordelia x Kellam support. Of course everyone knows the Kellam gimmick is that he's invisible, but rather than see that as a bad thing, Cordelia sees it as a strength and asks him to teach her how to be stealthier. It's kind of funny while also being very sweet.

Cynthia supports are hilarious especially when it's confirmed she has CAKE Laurent probably has repressed issues since he wants to be yelled at. Sat on and such. Man of culture The kid supports are honestly heart breaking when some of them know that they'll be replaced by the og kids someday. Imagine your world being destoryed and living in one you are basically a stranger in. Tharja are very good. Especially when she's trying to play extra mean when she's helpful and how scary a hex family is so she did right by niore and Morgan.

I like how Awakening has different supports for Male and Female Robin in a lot of cases. For example, Female Robin's support with Lon'qu is pretty funny. I like how she's trying to spar, but due to his fear of women he's trying to avoid her and she ends up throwing figs at him, and then it devolves into her trying to make him laugh in the B-support. And then that indirectly causes him to be more comfortable around her. Same with her support with Chrom, though it does fall back on the anime trope of walking in on the opposite sex while they're in the bath

The Japanese version actually has an entire other robin script for supports and the main story, as you could choose for robin to be a silent protagonist during character creation. Much like radiant dawn's hard mode dialogue, its an unfortunately large portion of the game that the non-japanese versions didn't bother with.

I read through practically every gen one support in awakenings for a fanfiction project I’m still working on, and honestly the hit rate for hood/funny supports is much higher than most other FE games. It really feels like most had some level of of care and thought put into them. For the record, Maribelle has no bad supports. Literally batting 1000 for either personality development or interesting running plot in all of them.

There are sweet awakening supports, there are dumb awakening supports, there are bad awakening supports occasionally, and the then you have the hilarious stuff where the cast fleece each other or that time Chrom got so fed up with Inigo’s antics he sicks Noire on him until he stops giving away their movements and battle plans to enemy spies while trying to get laid while she very much leans into similarities with her mother. (In my head Robin and Tharja who are married watch this unfold and Robin can’t help but agree this is very fun to be the outsider looking in on.)

Another funny support that kind of ties into one of the ones in this video is Maribelle/Olivia. Maribelle takes it upon herself to be Olivia's life coach and help her develop more of a back bone. Unfortunately she doesn't actually know how to do that so she consults a trashy self-help book popular among Ylissean noblemen that recommends flirting with women as a way to boost confidence. They try this out and get yelled at by Chrom for damaging the army's reputation. The real funny part of this is when you realize, combining this with Olivia's support with Inigo, this is where Inigo got the inspiration for his philosophy. Essentially, Inigo being an irredeemable flirt is all Maribelle's fault. And not quite a support but I have to give a shoutout to Cynthia's recruitment conversation with Chrom if he's her father. "Pega-Pony Princess" is top tier.

I've never used Tiki and Anna in the same playthrough so I never got their supports, but they are hilarious together. Anna is just a silly character that shouldn't be taken seriously, but it's nice to see Tiki doing something else than being the wise Oracle she is in the story and her other supports. She's just silly here and it's great. Awakening has top tier humor. I like how most of the supports are just silly conversations, a nice change of pace from the serious tone of the main story (especially from Emmeryn's final chapter onwards). Every conversation that has either Maribelle or Gregor is automatically gold.

Some of my favourite supports from this game in no particular order: Cynthia x Severa (classic Epic Hero vs Ice Queen tale) Panne x Frederick (one of a few about Frederick overcoming his fears) Sully x Stahl (callback to Cain and Abel from Shadow Dragon) Cordelia x Frederick (he basically praises her and she brushes it off) Robin x Cordelia (the latter hated being called a genius but eventually embraced it. Also the first character I S-ranked) Henry x Olivia (he had a soft spot for animals despite his reputation) Donnel x Mirabel (a nice student-teacher dynamic) Kellam x Tharja (a rare Tharja support that doesn't involve Robin in any way) Say'ri x Tiki (Tiki's character is inconsistent but I'm not complaining) and finally... Lon'qu x Cherche (some world building on Lon'qu's past. Also not surprised that Cherche would name her wyvern after the Wyvern General of Grust)

Gosh the supports are so hilarious in this game. I feel like the Lucina and sibling support is tailor made for Cynthia. Of course there’s the iconic Chrom “we want you” poster from him and Frederick’s support. And the even more iconic “I WANT TO BE MANHANDLED!” line. Not a support, but the funniest moment with my OTP is the married convo in the Hot Springs DLC between Robin and Lucina. It’s both sweet but hilarious at the start, with her being so clueless and trying her best, only to then slowly spiral down to a bittersweet convo that literally *foreshadows a major plot point*.

Fire Emblem Awakening is my favorite Fire Emblem game even now. I did play it when it came out in 2013 and have loved it since and do a replay every so many years in which I am currently doing. I think my favorite most memorable support is Chrom and female Robin where they both see each other in their birthday suits and as Chrom says later: "Have nothing to hide from each other" lol Cracks me up every time. I would love to see more videos about the supports from Awakening since I haven't seen any of these even with my over 200 hours in the game.

Tharja and Gaius' support has to be one of the funniest things ever put to text. Tl:dr Tharja hyperfixates on cursing Gaius after he claims his luck and immunity to curses makes him impervious to Tharja. She then spends the next few support convos grumbling about "that idiot Gaius" while accidentally falling in love with him. It's one of the few supports where her obsession with Robin is never mentioned and I like the implication that Gaius is so sexy to Tharja is basically re-wires her brain permanently.

Awakening was my first foray into Fire Emblem and I’m glad it was. The story was fairly generic but the characters were so funny, genuine and made with surprising depth once you dig a little. The cast of characters carried it for me and I will carry a torch for it.

Awakening has amazing supports across the board. I think the best in the entire series (admittedly I haven't played Fates or some of the old ones).

I'd say Three Houses bests Awakening for character development in supports. Time-gated supports allowing characters to acknowledge story events during support conversations, combined with far more expansive worldbuilding, did wonders for fleshing the characters out. As for humour though, Awakening wins that easily, with its heartfelt comedy and lighter tone shining near-uncontested there.

I love the Awakening/Fate Trio (Inigo/Laslow, Owain/Odin, Severa/Selena). The most hilarious conversation are always Gregor 😂😂 He makes me laugh so much. My favorite Awakening character is Henry but he is unhinged and another breed 😂😂

Awakening was overall the better game when it came to characters and that is the best for it. Awakening may not have the best gameplay, or the best story, or the best soundtrack, but man this game has the best cast of characters in the series. Characters like Chrom, Frederick, Lissa, The Vaike, Stahl, Miriel, Basilio, Flavia, Lon’qu, Gregor, Sully, Cordelia, Sumia, Say’ri, and my main girl Tiki, all great characters. But my favorite character will always be Robin, my favorite FE character in this series.

male morgan with lucina (be it siblings or not) both are amazing as brother and sister they are amazingly funny, like using falcheon to cut apples. but when not it's honestly sad & wholesome to see Lucina get aid from morgan on her terrible mental trauma
