It’s because of cutscenes they probably don’t want to animate over 100 times just for 1 cutscene. Just look at 3 houses even tho you have costumes in a cutscene it’s just the basic outfit. But that won’t work if you can change how they look

@@zwillscoopchannel9689 Lets be honest, its not a matter of animating one time, its just a matter of using a model swap instead, just like how almost every combat animation for attacks, engage form, engage attacks, the engage outfits, the actions usually taken during activities and so on use almost the same motions just on a different base model (but mostly same rigging), which is probably just a case of running a code that makes a model move specific parts of the rig for the model so they do not need to do it for every character separately. With exception to minor polishing, due to say the differences between Anna`s smaller model VS a more lanky character like Seadall. ...which is certainly a much better approach then the budget tactic of just giving the characters two basic body models for male and female and slapping different heads on them (Valkyria Chronicles 2 as a reference) and call it a day. If they were pre-rendered cutscenes or something then it would make a bit more sense, but the fact that many games already have done it hundreds of times over on using say a `basic model` for cutscenes and can easily have any outfit in the game over it with not needing to do much extra work such as removing the helmet of an outfit and those rare occasions where a outfit is too bulky that it gets in the way of the model so they might put the extra effort to remove parts of the outfit during said cutscene for those outfits in particular.... Never the less, i remember how much they hyped up this whole outfit customization part and the severe lack of using it in the ACTUAL portion of the game and you have yet another gag of multiple outfits that are just recolors and textures that you get thru multiple different methods still grinds my gears. But seriously, why the freak cant we use different outfits for different classes to add more personal appeal in ones runs since they wanna keep up a nuzlocke feel of bonding with characters so you feel more bad when Maddening runs take them from you. It should really be more outfit variety and the color customization could of had about 3 to 5 options to layer on 2 to 4 parts like many other games have done even since the DS era of games and if you have to have outfits locked behind EXPENSIVE gold sink costs, they need to have a worth-while value to it since getting what is a single copy of an S-rank weapon with effects way less useful then the Brave weapons in a earlier donation rank unless you plan on running a Negative Str/Mag run and giving your units nothing but daggers and other poison based weapons only to use. ...Too bad the game lacks a new-game plus or a effective post-game farming method as far as i am aware of to make said goods even worth chasing.

And before someone says xc3 doesn’t have custom characters there are so many different ways too look might as well be

Heard you can't use the outfits in battle, hopefully a patch for it. The costumes honestly looks pretty good, was a bit disappointed with the limited outfits/colors in Three Houses

Not really when you think about it, they are just reusing the assets from the emblem design. If they had a female byleth outfit or a Male Corrin outfit it would be something made entirely from scratch

Can you get more than one fashion ticket with the same Amiibo? And, I know the amiibo costumes are gender-locked, but how do you make the other characters be able to wear all of the costumes? Like, why can't Etie wear Celica's costume, or why Boucheron can't wear Marth's outift? I'm on chapter 8 as of this comment.

Question, do you have to scan a specific amiibo for their corresponding outfits? Or do you get like a ticket to buy one? I have an opened Marth Amiibo but I dont want to open all my other FE amiibos haha

FRom what I saw each FE amiibo gets you 1 fashion ticket and 1 music ticket and you pick the outfit and song you want. So you can mix and match

No. Some costumes like the costumes of previous fire emblem characters (like lucina) u need an amibo, but there are regular unlock able outfits in the game and probably more costumes coming in future dlcs

The clothes yes, you will have a shop, but the costumes from ancien characters is by amiibo only.

These are the special amiibo outfits. You have to scan a fire emblem amiibo, after which point you get a ticket; which can be redeemed for one of the Emblem-specific outfits. You can scan five amiibo per day; but the same amiibo can only be scanned once per day.
