Recommended units: Kaze, Camilla, Mages, Anti-armor weapons.
Moving along, we pass through Izumo, neutral territory. However, we aren't the archduke Izana's only guests and the situation quickly grows ugly.
The Izumo castle is a really good map, one of my favorites in the game. It's split into two sections, each with a boss. The upper section has Heroes, Maids, Sorcerers and the boss, Zola. The lower section has Generals, Strategists, Paladins and Bow Knights. Split your team properly to handle each side and try to get the chests before you kill all three bosses. There's plenty of time for this mission, so even if your levels are a bit lower than mine you shouldn't have too bad a time if you take it nice and slow.
This is one of the few maps in Birthright that is actually pretty difficult in higher difficulties.
Oh, and if the Fire Orb at your base has been upgraded to level 3, Flora will join after this chapter!
New Units:
- Flora: Felicia's twin sister and another of the Avatar’s retainers. She's an excellent and thoughtful maid, but also tends to overthink things. Kind of a weird unit. She's not as good in mag or as fast as Felicia, but she's better in str and skl than Jakob. She has a good staff rank already, so she can be a replacement if you lose your other staff users and her personal skill is a nice half-counter and debuff on non-adjacent attacks. Still, I don't see a strong reason to use her in a no-death run, since your other servants and even Jakob's son should be better than her.

Oh, I meant at the start that it's used in both Birthright and Conquest, the map in Revelation is awful.

I know this series was posted over a year ago but thanks for making these. I just started playing FE last winter and I’ve enjoyed watching these videos whenever I’m struggling in a chapter (such as this one).

i had no idea that the prerequisite to getting flora was having a lvl 3 fire orb! ive owned this game for well over 2 years and this is literally the first ive heard of that. i had no idea that flora was even recruitable in conquest. i never bothered upgrading the defensive structures at base since i never bother with castle battles and the like, especially in conquest where dragon vein points are scarce enough as is. i thank you for this peice of info, though. im still learning new things about this game thanks to you!

I grinded Elise as a maid with shuriken level to C. She just basically a professional killer lol.

I successfully cleared that chapter on lunatic but I did another strategy compared to yours due to maids using their staff for lowing power that it was tough even for almost loosing Kaze.

I played birthright and had the third path years ago I’m guessing reclassing is still op as it was in awakening I didn’t get the chance to experiment when I had birthright I’m enjoying watching the conquest side I never tried it it looks kind of difficult

This path is pretty brutal. And yeah, reclassing is still the key to unlocking a unit’s full potential. Unlike Awakening, you can’t reclass back to level 1, though, you keep your level. So planning ahead is much more important.

Some enemies advance not when you're within their range, but when you enter a specific area of the map. It happens a lot in Conquest.

Why is your Kaze so strong? My Kaze is usually as fast as lightning but he can't even kill mages lol

A little luck, but it shouldn't be that rare. You can also use pair-ups, tonics and stat boosters to patch it up, just keep in mind it has a low cap.

@@hina258 I know how that feels. Seeing everyone's Odin turning out amazing is what made me use him in my previous playthrough to this one and he turned out awesome so I wanted to give him another try.

his kaze seems to have gotten pretty lucky with strength level ups. at lvl 20 his had 15 strength to mine having 10 lol

I can't believe you almost used Benny instead of Kaze man. I don't want to spread hate on Benny but he is so painful to use, being reminiscent of the knights from other FE games. Low spd and middling atk, low mov, and the immense bulk mean enemies will always prioritize attacking other units or flat out ignore Benny for doing 0 damage. Brave Lance is his only weapon for doubling. That being said, Benny does have very nice pair up stats especially with his reclass being Fighter and instant access to promotion, so he can be useful for backpacking and can open up the Ignatius paralogue. Not gonna lie though, I'm kinda curious what would've happened if you *did* use Benny instead because my experiences with him have always been horrible.

It's the same for me, but he also has that evasion lowering ability that could be useful. But like you said his role of tanking kinda goes away when enemies can just ignore him. At that point... what's the point, you know.

@@Hawlo The personal skill really is quite nice, like a Heartseeker with more range but less potent like rods vs. staves. It's quite nice being able to use stuff like the aforementioned Brave Lance and still get a decent hit rate. It doesn't quite make up for his other flaws but he can be a good supporting unit for this purpose in a pinch.
