Honestly I’m not sure I’m ever gonna forget the scene where Navarre has a nightmare. We’ve known this dude to be the edgiest edgelord to ever edge, a guy who insists on no emotions, and he’s panicking because of nightmare (most likely some sort of trauma that resulted in his pushing people away and possibly his vow to not hurt women considering the person in the dream he was reaching towards that was killed was a woman).

I can't believe it's been 25 years since this came out. I remember being 12 years old in 1996 watching this anime and of course playing the old FE games with my brother. We both always said damn it sucks it got cancelled after just two episodes. My brother still has the VHS of these haha. 1996 anime animation was great. Navarre is the best in this episode......"I changed my mind again" 😊 It would be cool if this got a reboot and it was finished to completion

I was born in 1984 as well. I picked up my first Fire Emblem game two years ago. I played Echos, Fates:Birthright and Awakening. I also remember these types of cartoons from that time. This particular one was something I missed. I recall there were certain cartoons like Double Dragon which would come on TV around 4 AM I almost never got to watch because of the early time they were on.

I'm kinda curious what this would sound like with the modern voice actors for these characters. (Yuri Lowenthal for Marth, Cherami Leigh for Caeda, Max Mittleman for Gordin, Patrick Seitz for Draug. etc.) No offense to the voices actors in this, alot of them were part of the Dub cast for Neon Genesis Evangelion, an anime dub that is widely regarded as one of the better english dubs before the spike in popularity of anime in the west.

The animation and artstyle are solid. The grit and detail are a much better fit for Fire Emblem than the overly-cutesy moe games like Awakening, Fates and Engage. It's a shame we didn't get a full anime covering Marth's games, because this has got the makings of a great adaptation. As for the dub, some of the acting is good, it's just a shame they felt the need to do random accents and completely ruin the show's consistency and immersion. I know Marth was inspired by the Roman wargod Mars, but it's really grading to hear these incorrect translations of characters' used all throughout. Like assuming Navarre was Engrish for Navalle... Which it ISN'T..
