If you examine Sephiran while he's in his cell you can see that he has truly insane stats, higher then almost any other character in the entire game. It's kind of a hint to his whole backstory.

Mounted units lack in animation department in Path of Radiance unfortunately. They just aren't at the Blazing Sword/Binding Blade level.

On 52:31, you could've let Boyd use a hammer - and kill the boss.

Well that’s one way to beat the boss and the hammer is useful. Any anti armour weapons and Ike’s regal sword are great for this chapter

Even though you want to fight the reinforcements, you can get some bonus experience. Have everyone escape before Ike. Another way to clear the map is to escape the prison undetected as well as recruiting Brom, Kieran and Nephenee. You won't be able to get Kieran and Brom escape undetected, but you can have everyone else in your team and Nephenee escape safely before Ike does

Matsuna13 I'm well aware of the substantial BEXP this map gives if undetected. However I'm not going to record myself cheesing through it that way because it would be boring for me and lame for the viewers to watch.

It's fine to do so! We both have our way to clear the chapter. I have done both ways in my past playthroughs and they're equally good. In case if I want to level up my chosen characters, I go for bonus experience points. Also there's a big difference in the Japanese version of the game. In order to get Kieran, Nephenee and Brom, you must recruit them and escape. It's much harder in the Japanese version.

Another question: say I rescue Nephenee with Oscar but I don't drop her before having Oscar excape. Would that count as both of them escaping?

You had an armor slayer, a hammer, and regal sword. Why didn’t you use those?

The armorslayer and the hammer are quite heavy and inaccurate in this game while the Regal Sword is an extremely rare weapon so it is a viable strategy to avoid using those for a safer and more secure win.

@@ShinigamiKristak the regal sword isn't just rare, it's one of a kind. The one Ike is given by Mist is the only instance throughout the entire game.

Is it possible to just let Danomill live in this chapter like bypass him? If you clear the chapter with the boss alive: Danomill reports back to Petrine over his failure to detain the escapees. This enrages Petrine and she kills him.

You kind of need Titania to soften up the bad guys so your other units can finish them off.
