Idk what really to say about the title. But its really dialogues before the battle at Garreg Mach and timeskip. When you recruit all the students (EXCEPT FOR DIMITRI, CLAUDE, DEDUE, AND HILDA) and basically will talk about their thoughts after joining the empire.

Daniel Paul Silver Snow is basically Verdant Wind 2.0. Verdant Wind was nice but Azure Moon and Crimson Flower had the most interesting plots imo, especially when they were both so dynamically different.

@@joegreen3802 I kind of understand. even though I'm still not finished with CF, I know by the number of chapters that we won't get to Shambala... even though adding that chapter or even Nemesis+TWSITD (this time in a final battle at the monastery for example) would make sense in CF. Getting rid of TWSITD was supposed to be part of the Empire's plans and imagine Edelgard's reaction when she realise that the legend about the King of Liberation was *once again* another story made up by Seiros (but not the way she imagined it).

I'd add Marianne to that list. Margrave Edmund was one of the Imperial supporting houses, and in CF he even sends Marianne to fight alongside Edelgard. It's quite funny, but Golden Deer is the house that meshes into CF the best, seeing how half of them belong to families friendly to the Empire and the other half couldn't care less about the Alliance.

The way I see it, Marianne had never been able to stand for things in her life or have a strong motive. Then Edelgard shows up, full of confidence, ready to start a war because of her ideals. That's logical Mariane admires her : Edelgard is everything she is not but wish to be.

Yeah; I recruited Ashe in my Crimson Flower playthrough out of sympathy, not knowing what was going to happen, and I was so disappointed that he doesn't get answers in the Crimson Flower route. I even had him fight the different Church-related bosses, hoping he might have a unique battle conversation where he demands answers.

Mercedes', Lysithea's, and Marianne's insights are why this is my favored route from a story perspective. All those paralogues showing the inner struggles between crest bearing families that would envelop commoners like Ignatz and Raphael's families or the child experiments on Edelgard/Lysithea, or Miklan's exile, then add to it these conversations: Lysithea takes an objective approach to how to abolish the crests, Mercedes shows that faith in Sothis can exist outside of the church's teachings and that Sothis would likely not approve of Rhea's actions (she doesn't), and Marianne nails it on the head. Edelgard makes an enemy out of the entire continent by standing against both the church and the crest-bearing families. It rationalizes her need to side with twsitd, as she would not be able to fight all of Fodlan on her own. It really deserved more fleshing out than just providing context to make Edelgard less bad (and in many cases make Dimitri look much worse), but hey. We could really smooth out Crimson Flower by giving us 4 chapters of BE vs. twsitd dlc.

It's no secret CF was the last route the devs worked on and so had the least time put into it. Originally it didn't exist at all and when it did they were going to make it harder to access than it is in the final game before easing up a bit. Ultimately it's the most different of the four routes for better and for worse.

I'm also on my first ever playthrough of FE3H myself and I also chose to side with Edelgard, mainly because I felt Rhea was just being selfish with her goals and the fact I just couldn't abandon Edelgard after what I had been through with her. I also managed to recruit all the recruitable students, faculty, and former Knights of Seiros to the Black Eagles. I'm glad not as many named characters are going to get hurt and killed in the war.

Honestly, while I can't agree with some of the extreme measures that Edelgard took as the Flame Emperor, I'm still going to side with her. I feel like I resonated with Lysithea the most on her reasons for choosing to side with the Empire. This might be the only way that the society that values only Crests will change. Plus Mercedes is right. What the Church has become is so power hungry and not what Sothis would have wanted. Sothis felt uncomfortable hearing the death penalty that rebels of the Church get as punishment from Rhea. Rhea doesn't listen to reason and her motives are ultimately quite selfish in the Black Eagles route. I'm really coming around to why Jeralt never trusted Rhea. I don't want to abandon Edelgard either, especially since she's Byleth's best friend in the Black Eagles. Ultimately, I can sympathize with her goals. Ashe's reasons for aiding the Empire are also justified too.

I feel like there's a lot of non-BE characters that make MORE sense joining the empire than being on their own routes........ specifically, Lysinthea, Sylvain, Ashe, and Lorenz. They all have strong motivations to join Edelgard's cause, and/or to defy/mistrust/resent the church, nobility, and crests. Leonie, Mercedes, and Marianne too...... Leonie because of Jeralt's influence, Mercedes and Marianne because of personal experience. And then of course, there are some characters that don't make much sense outside their usual routes in general. And some who don't make sense fighting on Any side, like, in reality they probably would'vepulled out of the ring entirely once war broke out,,

When I play the Crimson Flower route, I will always make sure to recruit students who were tormented by the Church and Crest system: Ashe, Lysithea, Sylvain, Ingrid, Mercedes, and Marriane. About Raphael and Ignatz, to be honest, they are peaceful people and I hardly find a good reason for them to side with Edelgard. The same goes for Annette. On a side note, this is my opinion only, but Sylvain's ending seems to suit the Crimson Flower route most, with him trying to create a new view in which Relics and Crests were no longer considered necessary.

Recruiting everyone is easy just share lots of meals, give them their favourite gifts and achieve B support, with the exception of Ferdinand and Caspar who you need to raise their proficiencies. It’s really not that difficult.

It is possible on a blank run, and even easier if you're playing on Maddening as Female Byleth. Playing as Black Eagles means no B-supports locked behind a time skip, so recruiting through that gets easier overall. C-rank in Lances is a natural tie-in for using Mounted classes. Faith will likely be something you learn while looking into Budding Talents. Hilda being unrecruitable on Crimson Flower means you don't have to waste time on Axes unless you're going for Death Blow. Lorenz and Raphael can be recruited thorough B-supports since their required skills are suboptimal. The rest is just fighting enemies in a forest with rusted/broken weapons and a Knowledge Gem equipped. If playing on Maddening, this gets easier since Priests have Renewal. Personally, I recommend learning Lances first because of Tempest Lance and the weapon class' natural evolution towards Mounted classes. If you're doing it right, Sword and Faith will be the only skills that require an honest effort. The rest is just skill grinding, adjutants literal fishing for level ups to your Professor Level.

I did it in my first playthrough. Lots of returning missing items, gifting people and mission assistance support building, but I recruited everyone by the last day And that was after figuring out that mechanic. It took me about 6 chapters to realize supports would trump my weapon masteries/stats. So long as I had at least a D in the skill the student wanted

No. Before chapter 12 of the main game siding with Edelgard completely for the Crimson Flower route, you go to this Fortress. This is the only time in the game this fort is used.

The reason she never goes full Evil Emperor in Crimson Flower (much like how Dmitri turns back to sanity in Azure Moon) is that Byleth acts as a moderating influence. In addition, because she has Byleth, she doesn't feel the need to lean so much on the aid of Those Who Slither in the Dark, who are very much a terrible influence on her.

Personally I can Only See Lorenz and Lysithea Join Edelgard because the former is bound to her because of Political reasons and Lysithea for get story being similar to Edelgard's. Marianne, Ignatz, Raphael and Leonie would rather join Dimitri than Edelgard, because 2 of them want to be Knights, Leonie due to her hating Edelgard's allies and wanting to continue Jeralt's Legacy and Marianne having a support with Dimitir as well as being very religious. Mercedes and Ashe would mostly Join Edelgard, due to the former's desire to reunite with her Brother and the latter maybe holding a grudge toward the Church, if he at that point didn't figured out the truth about Christophe.
