I love everything about the mood of Part 2. From the story dialogue being heavily militaristic, to the music being intense and stressful like war would be, to the things units say when they crit or get a kill. You really see how everyone's determined to not only fight this war, but they're in this to win. Even someone as timid as Ignatz says things like "for the future if Fodlan," it's amazing to see everyone's resolve grow so much. This game is great.

Those horn chords at 1:11 had me stuck for a while trying to figure them out. For any of the other music nerds out there, after many listens, what I came to was that it's just Ab, Gb, F, Eb, in the top part with a fifth and sixth below them. Essentially power chords for the heavy sound but with the sixth below added to create tension with the fifth below, all on top of the marching Ab ostinato. Really cool stuff!!

Not super spoilery as it's sort of revealed in the Three Houses trailer, but if you are trying to go through the game 100% blind and 100% surprised, don't read any further. It's just a small mini thought I have on the themes of the game and the impact that As Fierce as Fire has on the player when it eventually starts being the Preparation Theme. When this track plays for the first time, you know immediately that everything in the story has gone completely FUBAR, and you are facing the true reality of war: fighting and killing people you once called your student is absolutely heartbreaking. Three Houses, from a thematic standpoint on the feelings instilled by war, suffering and dread of having to be forced to fight someone you called friend, is the best out of all the Fire Emblem games. The stakes are extremely personal to you the player.

It's like a more refined Genealogy. In terms of gameplay and plot, actually. Rather than going after one person to avenge your father in the second part, you're now forced to kill your former students. That feels a lot more personal.

@@nataliaalyssa All you had to do is be level 30 and have powerful hitters on your team. I didn't have much trouble with him at all. I recommend Raphael from the golden deer house. I have him as a war master and he knocks things down like they were nothing.

You say what you're saying now, but that's mostly because you haven't played Radiant Dawn for a while now. I can literally listen to both of these for more than an hour on end because they're amazing tracks. However, it's all about what people really like most.

@@External29 To your surprise, I've finished Radiant dawn about two weeks ago. I still think this theme beats RD's prep theme. I guess it just depends on what people prefer. Personally, I think this one is better because it cares a sense of hope in it when the setting was dark and hopeless. Radiant dawn's pray for victory was eh. It was just evil, no hope really can be sensed from it. It only worked when all armies clashed for the last time before Ashera wakes.
