I Concur, More Importantly, FYI Renters suffered the most in these fires. No one has helped them Please raise funds for the renters who loss everything in the fires in Altadena. The media is as usual, bias/prejudice. They focus on the white people only and celebrities. What about the renters of other nationalities, Please focus on the needs of renters who have been displaced and have no funds to recover from these fires. Set up a fund for them and no reports on celebrities unless they donate to help the renters. How about the pain of renters? There is a need to rebuild in these areas by going all Green Building materials and avoid rebuilding on the shoreline of our beaches. Change the tax structure for home owners (reduce since you failed them) and allocate funds to renters to help them relocate and set up a job bank ASAP: Okay rich company and rich people: if you really cared for the people of Los Angeles how about you set up a special nonprofit fund and allocate $20 million dollars to this fund and the mission: To support renters affected by these fires. Show us you really care for those who helped you make money; workers who help build your places; mostly hard workers like people of color; many of them renters. The Yellowstone Fire 🔥 burned from June until September. It started by several small fires 🔥 Drought conditions 🔥 High Winds. It burned 40% of the National Park. A lot of areas were impossible to get in to fight on foot . This fire started with Hurricane Winds. The Planes & Helicopters unable to Fly. Think of how many people get stuck in a crowded Airport trying to flee a National Disaster before all flights are Grounded. I learned working at Yellowstone. If you are lucky enough to see the smoke on the ridge pack up leave. Fires create Firenadoes=Tornadoes. Also throw out literally ☄️ Balls of Fire. That is without all the Gas & Fuels in a Home & Garage. I have hiked Angeles Crest & The Sierras. On a half day hike up a Hill in that area. We are talking Bare. But we decided to follow a Deer down the other side. Ended up in a box Canyon Thicket so dense totally dark with Black Muck on the Ground. When we got out it was dusk. We had to jump through brush to the next opening. We got back to where we stayed after dark. Those are the places unbuildable along Beach Communities. But accessible to deer & wildlife. If you think you can grab a rake in the wilderness Or keep a spring Run off from the mountains to change course. Or stop 🛑 it from flowing to the Ocean. Believe me you’re dreaming. I have stood above glaciers in Northern California. But the South is Desert . And Maps hung on a wall don’t Tell even close to what is on the Ground. Just saying!

Comprehensive plan to have LA citizens shut off their gas and water BEFORE quickly evacuating may have saved the water pressure from dropping. When the fire burned up blocks of houses, what happened to the water tanks, pipes, water heaters, etc? If they all blew up, then all that water just drained / dribbled down the hill toward Pacific Coast Highway, unable to be utilized by Fire Department hoses. Also, city water pipes are 6” wide. Not much water can get through to a hydrant.

This catastrophe could have been prevented if public officials were more willing to be proactive instead of reactive. They see over and over each year how the state is vulnerable for fires, but instead of taking actions to prevent the next fire they undermine the needs for improvement to mitigate the risks. They must do their job in keeping Angelenos safe by putting more resources into the crime, fires, and public safety as a priority. We don’t need to hear empty and useless rhetorics after people had lost their loved ones, their homes and their treasured memories in these fires. It is unacceptable!

Please, newscaster, I know that when a tragedy happens, it is always said how many humans died in that tragedy. But I hope that you start the trend that in your newscasts when there are natural disasters etc. that you also mention the number of animals that you know of that have died (the report can specify between animals as pets or in the care of humans, horses etc. and among wild animals if there are reports). What I ask of you has a lot of symbolism and meaning, since this gives a voice to the rights of sentient animals, giving them a voice and making it known that their lives are also important, this would give an important message against animal abuse and abandonment, and you would do a great job changing the way animals are seen, giving them more value and the value that they deserve as sentient beings, this would fight against species discrimination and would change people's consciousness, showing that the lives of animals also have value and are important. You would be the first since I have never seen another newscaster do it. Let it become a habit in all your reports and news and you create a worldwide trend.
