Nice to know your brain is still working overtime. i am a diabetic myself and have two diabetic friends not make it five years after limb removal . i applaud your dedication to your to your beliefs and generousity to the human race . this piece looks great. i think it does resemble feathers more than fire. it sort of looks like the way a bird's wings and tail feathers look when it starts a backwards dive where the body is one the bottom and the wings and tail feathers all reach upwards. I think it is great that you are helping different charities with their work, both through your art and your work.

As usual amazing work. One thing ---as a non wood working person LOL--- is that on others channels I noticed several artists when using an epoxy coat for finishing that they utilize a silicone bristle brush and it seems to get great coverage. Dan, I've been following your channel for a few months now. Ran across one of your videos and was impressed with your work. As i watched more and more of your videos and learned your background i was even more impressed. This new organization you are getting involved with touched my heart tonight as i watched you work on your newest creation and explained what the proceeds would go to. You see, this past July 11, after a 14 month battle with infection i lost my rt leg above the knee. Mine was mostly due to a past trauma to the leg but being type 2 diabetic didn't help either. With all of that being said, i am a fellow woodworker. I do a lot of flatwork but my passion is creating things on my lathe. I've just started experimenting with wood/resin hybrid work and I'm beyond amazed what a great median for creativity it is. With all of rhis being said i would love to be able to donate an occasional piece to your organization to help support the fight against diabetes and limb loss. more help would be preventing diabetes rather than chasing the damage it causes to the body. I expect that the diabetes problem in this society started when they were introduced to the western culture diet - SAD = standard american diet. educate and promote a healthy diet from youth up and the problem may deminish or go away.
