My favorite sound design in anime is from Hajime no Ippo. Ippo literally gets a Jet engine as sfx for his finishing blow. When he can barely move the sound of a machine buckling under its own weight can be heard. He spars with his gym mate and while his gym mate is fast his punches make weak noises but when Ippo punches it sounds like a cannon. one of Ippo's rival, Sendo, gets literal F1 Car engine noises to hit home the fact that he worked on his leg muscles to make him more agile to close the gap between his foes.

@@DrewMalou the dub voices might be jarring at first, since you’re used to the sub voices. However, I think the dub feels more unique and gives the characters much more personality I think. The male voices in the sub sound really similar to one another, but the dub makes the cast feel more unique. It’s one of the few anime’s where I actually prefer the dub!

@@DrewMalou Yeah. All the tracks are pretty good but most of them keep close to the same few 'formulas'. One of my personal favorites that stood out was Benimaru Detonation from Season 2. It gave a sort of sense of 'pressure' was unique.
