I think East Asian cartoons are a lot like video games. They have more or less good art/visuals but are pretty flat and mundane in the other aspects (such as storytelling/plot, dialogue, voice acting, intonation and animation) , and similarly most video games have good graphics, art and gameplay but are pretty lacking in sound effects, storytelling, impact and education. Western cartoons have much more balance between the different segments/aspects and are more fast-paced.
@ChisteNuscherzu7 күн бұрын
The difference is that western animation is full of morals and are just anthropomorphised bedtime stories with life lessons. Anime are insideous in its use of animation to lure in young audience but only portray misery and depression in its stories. They are designed to push children towards suicide. They try to convince children that it is okay to be a total loser because being sad and deppressed is cool, while western cartoons are about defeating your fears and becoming strong.
@cheerful_crop_circle7 күн бұрын
So are you saying that Asian cultures are depressing and monotonous?
@ChisteNuscherzu7 күн бұрын
The difference is that anime is pedophilic in its portrayal of children and perverted in its portrayal of young girls, western cartoons are not. Another difference is that 'eastern' animation is a simulacrum of western animation, if we mean 'anime'. The real easternn animation is the stuf you find in the old paintings in japanese wall art, or chinese depictions of emperors. Those are nothing like what anime is like. The whole idea of 'anime' is copied from western animation. Mangas copied comic books and anime copied cartoons, and this is, despite all the effort to mask it, very apparent. Western animation is authentic; it has a long history and was spawned from folk literature and real initiatives autoctonous to the occident. Anime is at odds with its past. Its a breakaway from real japanese traditional artforms, not really coincidentally just like the old japan shifted into the new, westernised japan after the terrible use of nuclear weapons. Japanese anime embodies the total capitulation to western culture. I think you are confusing western for disney animation here.Western animation is much broader and older than disney. As a matter of fact, disney animation is an extension of broader western animation tendencies. The same cannot be said of japanese or how you call it(erroniously) eastern animation. Out of what did japanese animation spawn? Out of western animation. To enjoy anime is to enjoy the deletion of the japanese culture

Fate is such an underrated anime Sure the lore is….. complicated and that’s an understatement But the raw power of these characters are nothing to scoff at plus the story is so good Also Reminder Tiamat completely lacks the concept of death yes Gilgamesh landed the final blow but it was thanks to Hassan that the attack even hurt her because Hassan hit her WITH THE LITERAL CONCEPT OF DEATH ITSELF IN THE FORM OF HIS NOBLE PHANTASM AZRAEL Not only that but he decided to say some of the coldest fucking lines I’ve ever heard in fate

I think his sound design is great at conveying power, speed, or impact very well however its really Over done sometimes- and really over done *A LOT* of the time in other shows. Basic attacks in my opinion should sound strong if the character is strong but it shouldn't be constant *BASS + REVERB* for every hit. Save it for Ultimate moves or just powerful magic in general.

The animators at MAPPA are probably some of the best in the industry right now. The JJK movie is absolutely stunning visually, and the fact that they made that film in just 4 months is beyond impressive. If they weren't working under such harsh conditions, the end product for all these projects would probably earn Oscars or something because what they managed to put together with such harsh time constraints (and I am mainly speaking towards JJK here) is still so incredibly jaw-dropping. Someone give these animators a raise and time off. Because, inevitably, if the current pace keeps up, the quality will start dipping, and then no one will be happy. But as it stands now, God bless them. They're putting out some amazing work, and I hope they know that we, as fans, appreciate the agony they went through to meet those deadlines. Give them an all expenses paid trip to Malaysia or something.

I am musician not an animator. But we do utilize the same foundation in balancing a piece of entertainment to its max without it being too much. If a every beat has 1000 notes in a measure compared to 16 notes in measure which sounds better? Is it more notes equals better or less notes.

Liked and subscribed! I'm doing research on anime sound design for a panel at Anime USA, and I was looking for examples of contemporary Japanese sound designers when your video came up. I needed an example to complete the trifecta between the eras of early (Matsuo Ohno/Astro Boy), classic (Akihiko Matsuda/Gundam) and modern anime sound design. I'll definitely be pointing my audience to your channel in the bibliography.
nah dude I agree canutes "character development" didnt really feel like a development at all. The same can be said with season 2 imo as thorfinn is mostly braindead and going through withdrawls until he gets some wacky revelation to change his whole view of life instead of having him slowly go through moral dilemnas.

By the way this is not the last arc, the sunrise courtdown is. The sunrise courtdown arc will be its own. 20 chapters per film would be too rushed you need at least 3 hours. While yes the final battle arc is spilt into two arcs. Infinity castle and Sunrise arcs are still not the same.
