New lightweight construction is no better. Burn times from time of ignition to fully involved are only a matter of a few minutes. Don't believe me? Look it up here on KZbin.

Not necessarily a matter of believing you or not believing you. I do know that newer construction buildings (apartment buildings NOT houses) of this size here in Chicago are way more fire resistant. Now... if we're talking about regular family homes... then yeah... you are correct about that, but at least all new construction homes (at least in cook county) are fire rated and there is a slight more measureable degree of extra safety than houses out in the burbs/sticks. But here I'm talking about structures that are more referred to as buildings (not so much houses) due to how many more people/families they are designed to hold.
