It's not true. Of cource frost was always superior in arena. But you definitely could play fire on r1 lvl. Me and quite a lot of other fire mages had gladiator back then. And 1 EU fire mage named Livin even participated in a Blizzcon as a fire mage.

@@pyromanglad1136Yes I remember that very well as I was a Fire Mage enthusiast back then and I was so hyped seeing a Fire Mage in a Blizzcon tournament. His team was called 'Playing With Fire' which was a nice pun and a cool wink to the spec. I don't agree with you because back then there weren't many Fire Mages at high rank. In fact, there were very few and Hansol was one of the few that was able to master this underdog spec compared to the way more common Frost spec. Fire back then was nothing compared to what it is today in terms of PvP and you had to work twice as hard as Frost to get value and gain rating.

For me, the sequence at 13:04 to 13:30 is a work of genius. How he times the nitro boost run with the rift and then the Pyroblasts with the song is just superb. Its the type of thing only the best players and video editors have an eye for.

I used to say that MoP was awful, and I still think the content and storyline was bland but I LOVED the spell mechanics and pvp in MoP. Something about running through a brewery killing 'alementals' and helping Brewmaster _______ collect ingredients for his latest brew didn't sit well with me.

I agree with you. The pvp was all i lived for and when WOD came around it just resented it so much I ended up quitting. Came back in Legion once again and just don't enjoy it. One thing I didn't like was when they removed a bunch of spells/utility from classes, it really didn't sit well with me.
