This is why I love Saturndays. I am seeing such amazing games that I've never seen before on the Saturn that are fucking amazing. Man, this is such a shame that this didn't come to North America or that this style of wrestling game wasn't on the WWF licensed games. The Saturn is that gem that was tossed aside, only to be found after so many years and now marveled by many.

Do people patch Saturn games (is that even a thing)? Looks a prime candidate for a patch if so (English translation, real intro themes, etc).

I remember when this game came out it was running at a video game store game, then called microplay. I looked at the Sega Saturn and thought it can do this? I tried playing it but the menus were all on Japanese and I needed one of the workers to help me get around. The number of wrestlers we're astounding for the time. It had way more wrestlers than WWF rage in the cage for Sega CD even. I think if you Google around there is a English translation around for this game. I just wish there was a translation patch for fire pro wrestling G for PS1.

Picked this up back in the day and even with the ability to read Japanese I couldn't even figure out the basic grab mechanic.

Wow. I was a huge fan of the WWF at the time. It's a shame this was Japan only. As the official WWF Saturn games weren't very good. WWF Warzone on PS1 was where they started being good but that one never came to Saturn.

Never played any fire pro wrestling game but i like to.I know the series has it's fans and swear by it to as being the best.By the way have you played the latest one ? Fire Pro Wrestling World,it's pc right now but it's coming to the PS4 later on.

The series is awesome. Started playing on my snes emulator in 2000. Have bought them all from saturn to dreamcast. Working on ps2. And fire pro wrestling world came out on steam and ps4 about a year ago.
